Kokrska and Jezerska Kočna

On Sunday, first time via Kremžarjeva to Jezerska Kočna. Start from Ravenska Kočna, descent via Dolška škrbina, Grintovec and Mlinarsko sedlo. At the Češka koča, I met an army (Slovenian-English combo) heading to Grintovec. The Kremžarjeva path is interestingly routed, reminds a bit of Kopinškova and the difficulty is in that range. Personally, it is a bit easier for me than Frischaufova, adrenaline at a few spots, that crack under the rock always seems narrower to me . Quite a few visitors from both sides. Solid view and light wind on top. Stamp in the rock no more, but one in the box for now. Path nicely marked and protections perfect, praise to maintainers.

Congrats Stanko. Haven't been to Kočna via Kremžarjeva yet. Probably descended the same way, right? How long did it take up and down from Češka koča as a group? Thanks for reply.

In case of linking a tour to Jezerska Kočna and Grintovec (start and end Ravenska Kočna), which direction is preferable: via Kremžarjeva to Kočna, then Grintovec, Mlinarsko sedlo and descent via Frischaufova or reverse?

Generally Kremžarjeva is considered a bit harder, so normally Kremžarjeva up, Frischaufova down. Although - in my opinion it's pretty much the same. If you go up Kremžarjeva, there's a little problem on descent through steep gully above Dolška škrbina, and also need to watch those polished rocks right at the bottom of Frischaufova. If reverse, it's easier of course since going up, but then quite annoying descent on scree-covered slabs in upper part of Kremžarjeva. Small advantage of ascent on Frischaufova is Kočna waits at the end - meaning you can skip it if too tired. If up Kremžarjeva no such option, have to do whole tour anyway. In short, both options have pros and cons.

Don't recommend Frischaufova down; better pick Kremžarjeva down, much better protected, much less rocks, scree and much less direct.

Today on Jezerska Kočna from Ravenska Kočna. Snow starts already right after Češka Koča and there is more and more up to the top (up to 25-30 cm where drifted). Conditions very varied and technically demanding (dry snow, icy snow, ice, wet rocks) changing from meter to meter. Crampons can come in very handy especially on descent. Pity only for the views which we unfortunately didn't enjoy today.
