Yesterday from Suhadolnik over Grdi graben to Kokrsko and further to Jezerska Kočna. Practically no snow left, two small snow patches on the way to Kokrsko which can be avoided with a bit of climbing. But the path is quite demanding and partly dangerous as it's full of scree...Back over Trbušasti prehod and Dolce to Suhadolnik.

On 19.7. snow was only still on the scree before the secured climbing part, higher up it can be bypassed, maybe it's not even there now..

BSAE On Sunday 3.8. my nephew and I went from Suhadolnik over Grdi graben to bivouac under Kočna, slept there, on Monday to both Kočne. On Sunday a few raindrops hit us, the problem was fog that accompanied us up to about 1900m. Probably wouldn't have found the bivouac if it hadn't cleared up just then (10 min before it). Back on Monday over Ovnov čer to hut at K.sedlo and back to Suhadolnik. Path completely dry.

Today, in nice and pleasantly warm weather, my wife and both sons and I went up the Kremžar route to the summit of Jezerska Kočna. The path rightly has the reputation of being one of the most beautiful mountain paths in Slovenia. Perfect cables and pegs are where they should be, elsewhere there are plenty of quite solid natural holds that ensure safe progress and make the path even more interesting and less boring. In terms of difficulty, the path is nicely routed through natural passages and shouldn't pose problems for an experienced mountaineer, as in my opinion it's even a bit easier than Hanzova's to Mala Mojstrovka or Kopinškova's to Ojstrica. But the climbing section is quite long, and the return along the same path or via Mlinarjevo sedlo back to the starting point isn't easy either, which requires prolonged concentration and sufficient fitness from the hiker.
Otherwise, there's only one small snowfield left on the path that doesn't require winter gear. On the path to Mlinarjevo sedlo, however, there's still quite a large and steep snowfield, on which hikers were crawling up on all fours, probably without winter gear, at least that's how it looked.
We chose the Kremžar path to Kočna.1
Across the snow without problems.2
Those who turned towards Mlinarsko sedlo had more trouble with the snow.3
They were enjoying the sun.4

Hello,

I'm interested if there's any special feature (snowfield, ...) on the path from Kokrsko sedlo to both Kočnas. Thanks.

On Monday heading with a colleague to Suhadolnik and then up to the bivouac, and the next day to Kokrska, which I haven't been to yet, which is a minor sin for a Kamničan to miss a peak over 2500m velik nasmeh

Probably won't encounter snow in any case, right, at least not to hinder us on the path? nasmeh

No snow visible, but count on steep grass and two very strenuous scree fields, and fairly crumbly climbing. But all that will be rewarded with magnificent views and a beautiful summit. Good luck and lots of enjoyment.mežikanje

Reporting back to give you a little report. velik nasmeh

Yesterday afternoon my colleague and I parked at Suhadolnik (official parking, no mistake), climbed over Taško and then turned left at the Dolce sign, then just the ascent to the Bivouac in Kočna and sleep. Then we wanted to head to the summit of Kokrška Kočna around 4.30, but extremely dense fog crossed the plans, so nothing came of sunrise at the 2520m high summit. Well from Kokrška we then "walked" to Jezerska, continued down towards Cojzeva koča via the Ovnov čir route. We also checked out the winter hut in case we need it sometime (hut is already closed), then just descent back down to Suhadolnik. If anyone is interested in anything related to this path, ask! mežikanje

Today I wanted the Julijce, something easier, but the weather and view to the west turned me from Kranj towards Preddvor. From Suhadolnik over Taško quite quickly, nice autumn day, higher at the junction larches already nicely yellowing. In Grdem graben it was quite slippery, so we descended carefully and later climbed towards srednji Dolci, where the fog started. At the junction we turn towards Jezerska Kočna, where we meet two hikers descending who had fog at the summit. The scree under Dolska škrbina is quite nasty, and nothing was visible. I heartily hoped the fog would clear with height, but we weren't that lucky. Before the pot-bellied passage we meet another hiker who had just crawled through, it's quite wet, fog thickens and it becomes clear that the devil took the joke. We turn immediately, give it all we have, it cools down and the unpleasant descent on wet rocks begins, which was very adrenaline-pumping. Nina was very happy when we stepped onto the scree, it warms up too and somewhere at 1800m we get below the fog and sun shines in the valley, crazyeek!! We descend happily, it gets brighter, positive atmosphere envelops us and although I don't remember when I last turned back below the summit, I believe it was the only smart decision today, even if the goal wasn't chosen wisely..zavijanje z očmi

I was there today too with a colleague on Kočna. The uphill path was sunlit, downhill though, poor visibility, wind and fog.nasmeh
