Hey, did you run up today too? Does it sink more than yesterday by chance?

Bojan, you could have just slept in the igloo yesterday and today awaited the nice sunrise at Kredarica.

Bojan, today only Šavs ran up, conditions are basically the same - same level of humidity and temperature, snow structure is the same, so no sinking.

Šavs ran up in 2 hours? Is he ill? Usually he went in 1:20

Today again to Kredarica. Around Zg. Krma fog descended, which accompanied me the whole way to the top and back to Debele bukve. Visibility was from 5 to 50m. On the ski back the GPS came in handy. There are many tracks, not all "proper" (on Wednesday I already turned back). After Ulcah there are already real kuclji from the crowd of touring skiers. Below Debele bukve nice slalom through the forest again. Parking at Kovinarska is greatly expanded.

100jan, Šavs says he goes that fast so he can still enjoy, if he went faster he'd get mad. And if he walks every day the whole week, he has such a pace that he won't tire. As I know him he is capable of going up every day for 2 hours. Dec is like wine, the older the better Now we have agreed that when I am 100 years old, we will go together to Kredarica.

Today's ascent to Kredarica was ideal, nice sunshine, a real idyll. As for Mr. Šavs, I have plenty of stamina but hats off to him. He caught up with me in the steepest part, I had him in sight for a long time and persisted but he got away from me. On Kredarica we chatted, a really normal gentleman.

Today at 5:10 I got the second-to-last parking spot at the Kovinarski hut in Krma (no digging or cramping). The path is quite OK, sinking in places. At Kredarica the service is like in a tavern (jota, ričet, tea, coffee, beer ...) - hats off. Three went to Triglav, I saw them on Mali Triglav, if they reached the summit, they can tell themselves. The ski descent back is also good, mainly nicely settled snow. Under Prgarca it's harder, which I don't really like. Of course, another enjoyable slalom run through the forest. The parking lot expanded during the day (the farmer had to park his van somewhere when he came to fell trees). The last two pictures are swapped; for now I don't know how to edit comments and change the order of pictures on this forum.

A bit later we diligently dug out the parking lot by the road in front of the Kovinarska hut, as there were really quite a few visitors to Kredarica today - some skiers, snowboarders and hikers. Weather fantastic, path as mentioned by bumslpepe. When we were returning, some groups were going up, planning to overnight at Kredarica, so tomorrow it will probably be even busier. At the parking lot, without help many wouldn't get their car out of the "dug-out parking spot". Safe travels to all and much enjoyment.

On the last pic posted by Aleš there are 2 groups heading to Triglav. One from the second group where there are only two is my Dad, who went with a friend towards the top. But they turned back at that traverse in the pic as they didn't want to risk too much. Conditions weren't the best, strong wind blowing and snow sinking a lot. Pic was taken yesterday and the group ahead walked on untouched terrain. Wonder where the mentioned pic was taken from? Thanks! regards. Miha

Today less crowd in Krma than last week. One reason probably -13°C at 5:15 am and -14°C at 12pm with strong wind on Kredarica (nose still quite red). Wind nicely refilled the track from ca. 2000m up. Saw two on Triglav today. Descent bad. On frozen and broken base by skiers and hikers too little new snow fell, and what there was wind blows away properly. Today only real pleasure was of course again slalom between trees from Debele bukve down.

Conditions for hiking good, especially to Prgerce. Further on strong wind pulled, especially annoying stronger gusts carrying dry snow in the air. Most pulling the last part of ascent to Kredarica. Track trace wind refilled on the go. On return wind eased. Without wind it would be quite pleasant, despite below solid 10 below. Sun has power. Hikers and skiers just right. PHOTOS
