For this information they'd know best firsthand at Kredarica, because they know who and when plows in Krma. Judging by the camera, there has already been some visits up there.

The road is already plowed to the parking lot at the warehouse. There is cca 30 cm of snow there. From Krma it's still full.

Kredarica today served wonderful autumn contrasts of larches and in the upper parts a real winter idyll. In the morning Krma was still fully in frozen snow, which thickened with height. The path was already trampled by some predecessors from the previous day. In the morning the snow nicely held the hiker's weight. Over Prgarca I stop just for some sips, above the streets I also enjoy some fruit and a muesli bar. The path ahead is logically trodden left along the marked Kalvarija away from avalanches, since the winter route has too little snow and that is icy in places and provides no support. On the Kalvarija route there is enough snow for snowshoes, only early in the morning there is some ice in the hikers' footsteps, which we avoid where there is more slope with less footprint indentation. Meanwhile I carried a shovel and snowshoes up there too, but in the given conditions they did not come into play - the top snow layer is somewhat slippery, so I prefer to continue on foot. Today the meteorologists changed shifts up top and it was nice to watch the helicopter landing. Meanwhile we also helped with unloading the equipment and Rekar's son kindly treats us to a beer. Some rain has already hit the mountains, some is still waiting for the midday thaw. Today a funnel-shaped avalanche also released from Triglav into the Snežna kotna. In the afternoon the snow up top softens nicely and walking is a pleasure. Below in the shade it remains frozen even during the day, compacted and tricky on descent (just hard enough that the disturbed footprints interfere). In Krma it didn't warm above +5°C even during the day. The road is dry and passable to the garages, as long as there is no car damage when crossing the final torrent debris field - underbody scrapes!, but go over it with momentum. Otherwise it's a top-A tour.

He, he, I watched that helicopter from the balcony as the meteorologist boarded it on the nearby meadow. That's the ride to work.

What are conditions like for Triglav? Too soft? Anyone been up yet?

No one to the summit yet. As you said, too soft (unstable poor snow base, many icy patches below, ridge shows small cornices windslab, daytime single avalanches). From hut trodden only 200m to rise (rear edge Kredarica), above path start to Planika where meteorologists watch Triglav glacier, avalanches.

Conditions today unchanged. Sky cloudless, wind resting, little snow. Starts only at 2300m. Nice weather holiday day, very few visits. Helicopter did not disturb peace today. Tomorrow forecast another nice day. Pity to miss it...

I was there today too with my buddy. Great conditions. Then we already trampled the path to Planika. From Planika, we descended to Konjsko sedlo and over Kurica back to Krma. Great snow for walking.

Is it possible without snowshoes to Kredarica from Krma? I have an ice axe. Thanks for answers. LP

Are you selling the ice axe? Joking. Of course it's possible. It's well trodden. Read previous comments a bit. Start early.

Snowshoes are now only in the way. On Friday snow was firm almost the whole path, now new info that it starts only at 2300m. Since snow despite + temps is frozen due to low humidity and clearness, it's better to ascend on predecessors' track.

Panda, better take a day off and go tomorrow or the day after. Friday already forecasts precipitation, question how Saturday will be.
