On Saturday I skied practically the whole trail except the bushes and steep part of Bukovje.
As for chains, you'll probably not need them (unless). Problematic are of course the climbs especially before Kovinarska koča and above the gorge.

@Maemi...using chains is similar to other gear (crampons, ice axes, ropes...), you just need some brains too...
..because gender, as you say, really has no special role in putting them on.

Today the slope above the gorge was pretty smooth and tires slipped a bit.
Otherwise Kredarica never disappoints.
The descent was also very good for current snow conditions.
Three were on Triglav.

I saw that box in the hut, money goes for road maintenance, plowing. Replying also to viharnik on previous page, with user curiosity2015 we also met on top of Triglav and exchanged some words, as well as with Igor Z. Only in the hut it was also a bit cold in the other room, when the weathermen aren't there.

Just the other day there was talk with the weatherman about plowing the road, that it's really well done and salting would be good too.
Yes, that box is for that, it's locked too and can't take money out, so hope/think the key is in right hands.

Hi!
Given that some fresh snow has fallen and the avalanche danger has risen to 3, how safe is the ascent to Kredarica? Does the path go through avalanche-prone terrain or do avalanches generally bypass the path?

If you're on foot, there'll be no danger because you'll turn back earlier.
