Yesterday's visit to Kredarica was really nice...night, morning and day...and that there, where we like it best nasmeh

The path from Krma is trodden, but crampons are mandatory as it's icy in places...in short winter conditions.

Up there it's always nice, at least for me, and I really enjoy drinking the best coffee, chatting with the staff and I'm happy for every encounter with acquaintances and friends... there are quite a few who often go up there and meet - we know each other nasmeh

I'm also following the Poles on their ascent, the previous day via webcam

At least they had protection, otherwise if one slips on the icy surface they all go down the valley

There were few of us that day, but all were welcome

A little wandering around home to look, but not far... just for the fence

In Krma there were about four, five vehicles in the morning, I started at Korito, so there's some climb at the start. To Kredarica the path is trodden like a border guard trail, snow dry everywhere, almost no ice. Dry snow with very light crust, somewhat settled, higher up wind crusts in places, on the ridge somewhat wind-blown, there wind crust forming too that bears a person. On S. Kalvarija right after the corner under Snežna konta peak it started blowing fiercely all the way home, afternoon wind died down. Really unique day in mountains.
Today only two went up to M Triglav and turned due to strong wind. But up there something is brewing again with thaw coming.

Today nice solitary hike from morning foggy lowlands to beautiful snowy idyll nasmeh

Snow starts at Ulce, in Kalvarija relatively southern, at exit from it frozen base all the way. Mostly slightly sinking, sometimes not.

In thoughts my willing companions were with me, hope soon to drink coffee in the sun in front of the hut again nasmeh

Despite bad weather time for coffee at Kredarica again.
Last rain badly eroded path almost to 2000m. Snow starts below Kalvarija and sinks quite a bit in places. Around Kredarica ice crust already forming, with forecast cooling could be dangerous for slipping. eek

Today quick trip for best coffee at Kredarica. Morning snow over Kalvarija nicely frozen, on way back already sinking quite a bit. As predecessor (Franci) wrote, around Kredarica pretty icy and will stay so for days, big cooling coming.
