Hi, I'm interested if anyone has been recently to Kredarica or Triglav summit; planning climb Sunday with buddy, curious about conditions and if it's suitable to go or better to wait a bit. Gear full (crampons, ice axes, helmet, avalanche set...) and fitness no problem.

Today again a day for gods in the mountains. At Kredarica quite some visitors, many old acquaintances. Conditions solid for walkers and skiers.

Finally we both have vacation... we went nasmeh

to check the knowledge and forecasts of our weathermen... hats off nasmeh

it was a day to take advantage of.
A real winter fairy tale from the parked car to the top. The whole path we listened to the creaking symphony under our feet... that's for the soul and body velik nasmeh

Then also views far over the plains to neighboring countries... really wonderful!!
Thanks to those who made the track, crampons stayed in the backpack, as it sank quite well.

In the morning by car to Kovinarska then on skis. Base is hard with some powder on top, which gets more with altitude. At Ulc summit it's blown to ice base in places, higher up mostly soft crust.
Would praise the hiker who turned back approx. at 2000m due to time pressure, who walked along the ski track all the time making his own trail. Hikers imitate him in coming days, even better use snowshoes.
Ski conditions mostly very good. First half some soft crust, lower down powder on hard base.
When I skied back to Krma, road was plowed to the end, but no passing places or parking, so don't head to valley without a shovel.

Today again at Kredarica. Lots of visitors (skiers, hikers, snowshoers). Enough snow too.

Road plowed to the end, only 4x4s can get to the parking at the woods because water eroded the road. 50m before no problem if you're early enough. Shovel is mandatory equipment.

I spent the weekend at Kredarica, because we carried LMB up there with the squatters. The evening and morning were so wonderful that it was almost kitschy.
