On Krn 4.12.2019. Too bad we didn't meet Matej. You probably went below on the right side. Track is made. Otherwise only a handful of us yesterday. One skier. We chatted on top and before the shelter where he skied from the top. Day not hellish at all like Sunday. No wind on top and at shelter. No cloud anywhere. No wonder, previous days they had work. Morning at parking cold minus 2. But on way to top warmer. Views gorgeous. Interesting that Krnčica seen from top covered in snow. Start of Kal ridge and Vršič bare. Krasji vrh also bare. Used winter gear when snow starts and path no longer visible and of course on descent. Yesterday sky redeemed for Sunday foggy, cold and windy day without views.

Morning start in fog straight old way across planina past cows. Sun broke through clouds and fog little below planina Zaslap. Not really winter, snow starts somewhere by Korenova sign, above Kožljak path section muddy and slippery. View from top north shows no snow at 1600m.

Krn 24.12. The day was just as you could wish for. Freshly fallen snow. Now it's lower. On the path above Planina Zaslap. Around eight in the morning we started walking and at the parking lot plus 3 degrees. Warm. How it was towards the top we didn't know but we met two hikers who were early and already descending. Mixed conditions, under the last part hard base and without winter gear you can turn back there. On top quite windy, which proved true, though the wind calmed a bit when we three were around 12 on top. Winter room is open and comes in very handy to warm up a bit. Behind us three Italians went on the slab with snowshoes. But below the shelter at 1900 they turned back. Actually they stayed quite a while at the same spot before slowly descending. For such a base as yesterday—soft snow in some places, hard as concrete elsewhere, where you couldn't even stick the tip of the ice axe into the snow—caution was needed. The summit is well covered. Yesterday there were views all around.

We went along the ski track. Here is the path to Korenovo.

Yesterday with my dear after a somewhat longer time back in action. Given the situation we again chose Krn. Quite late we started from Kuhinja and soon met a mountaineer who was already returning. We met two more and that was it. Wonderful weather in combination with the mountain we experienced as pure pleasure. On top some small amount of fresh snow with moderate wind gusts spiced up the situation, because otherwise it would have been kitschily beautiful. On the way back we met one more foreigner, who changed his mind upon reaching the snow line and turned back. Maybe it was better that way.

Today's Krn in good conditions, in the morning it was possible to go to the roof of Krn almost the whole time on the crust. I went up the gully under Kožljek where it had already slid. Further on the Krn roof I broke the first track, conditions a combination of collapsing and walking on crust. Windy on top, just below not. Quite a few of us were on the top of Krn today. Due to the strong sun I descended already in the morning. In the afternoon it would be too dangerous if walking across the transverse gullies where the marked path runs.

Krn 12.3. Many times been up there, but such demanding conditions especially on descent I don't remember. Because we were postholing and many times ended up in snow holes. The track is led from Kožljak onwards directly towards the top and the steepness accordingly. No more avalanches. Everything has slid. To there we went by the path. We put on crampons a little above Planina Zaslap. Yesterday it was quite warm, except towards the top windy and somewhat colder. Nobody else but us. Views from the top beautiful. Lots of snow visible especially in the lower Bohinj mountains. If it stays so warm, the snow on the slab will melt quickly.

Views towards the Julian Alps really nice.

I don't remember ever walking backwards downhill so much. But it was necessary, because otherwise you would end up in a snow hole. A few times we had to dig ourselves out.

I mixed it up a bit. On the ascent where there is no steepness yet. Otherwise without winter gear you can't do much here.

We knew the descent would be demanding. And the sun was really burning nicely.

Thanks to the honest finder who took such trouble and even delivered them by mail (Simon, thanks again) and of course the colleague who told me about this post – now I'll be a more regular guest here on the forum too – especially if I lose something else zavijanje z očmi

We were up there today, not just us - about 10 others at the same time. South side - Kuhinja and Drežnica to the hut, no snow. Those few meters from there to the top you step on snow a few times, the very summit is under snow. North side to the lake is a different story, no pics

When we were around there on 3.5., I peeked into the wall; the entry traverse could still be quite problematic. Then it was still solidly under snow and, given the position in the wall, I think there's little difference now.
