Yesterday we were at the Krn Lakes from Lepena. It was our first time. Really wonderful. It was a bit cloudy. On the way back we went to Fort Kluže, from where we'll go to Rombon at the end of the week if the weather is nice. Otherwise we're a bit in a dilemma whether to go rather from Kanin or from Kluže  Regards

Krn, 14th memorial hike 1918-2011, was today. Occasion for nice tour, start from Bohinj, past hut on Komna and under Bogatin, then to Vratca (today's highest point) and to lake. Conditions morning quite cold, fog and clouds cleared only around Vratca, landscape silver-clad, no snow. Quite some participants, most from Lepena, but didn't wait for celebration, had to return same way. Nice, nice it was, autumn really likes us. Compared to yesterday when turned back due to wind, snow, fog and cold a bit below Gubno (Kepa), today was a picture-perfect day. Smile too.

nicely written that helicopter is not autochthonous bird in Triglav National Park.
TNP Act in article 13, paragraph 40 states this-
40. flying aircraft below 1000 feet (304.8 meters) above highest current point or obstacle during flight, except for maintenance and supply needs of facilities under conditions in management plan, for state defense, protection, rescue and aid in natural and other disasters, police tasks, scientific research and meteorological service and with park manager consent for geodetic, film, video and documentary recording of park;
From TNP administration please answer for which of above reasons this helicopter flew and landed in core of TNP.
Mountain visitors know what noise such non-native bird makes.

You had a Christmas fairy tale even before Christmas. When we slept up there, there was still stove + firewood. At night on top it was so warm we threw everything off.

Behind us was a beautiful wonderful gorgeous day. A day you can only wish for. Today's goal – Krn Lake. Around Dom Dr. Klementa Juga in Lepena a total of five cars. Ascent started quite late at 12.30. Path through forest was snowy and partly icy, but things started at around 1100m so no uphill problems. At upper station (cableway) 40cm snow and -5 degrees. Snowy path to Krn Lake quite firm so frozen snow bore body weight. Met two couples opposite using snowshoes for snow walking. Krn Lake frozen, here sun rays greet us first time. After photos and views on surrounding peaks we decide to check Dom at Krn Lakes, naturally closed. Bivouac also empty, till then no one decided to overnight here. Hot drinks and sandwiches from backpack quickly vanished into body. On descent to valley put on crampons and helmets which were very useful as forest path mostly icy. Midway through forest daytime ascent became night descent to start point without major issues. Nice surprise in Lepena meeting friend from night hike to Golak who with better half heading to bivouac at Dom at Krn Lakes and today continue to Krn. Good luck and safe step.

Today with friend at Krn Lake. In Lepena morning -6°, dry to 1100m then icy up more snow frozen. From last cable station winter idyll. Plain before lake cold brrr! -16°C. On iced lake nice view snowy KRN. Us two also crampons to avoid fall, super tour.
