Forest road parking lot - cirque below Špik or below Heart - across Kotlje - MMP - Three Larches - Za Ak (bivouac III) - hut at Ingot - starting point
When someone opens a good thread (thanks Gams1, 14 days ago, though I don't know if you've been up there), it triggers an avalanche of repetitions and trials, and conquering the summit and making a nice circular tour in good company is plus some extra, ... so here are some of my impressions of the hiked path.
The path from Martuljek is eased by a nice forest road (starting in the forest left of the ski lift) and leads to the Ingot hut, park a bit earlier (space for about 10-12 cars).
After cca 500m, at a well-marked junction: left or straight - to Ingot and further Za Ak and right - cirque below Heart or below Špik (both paths to bivouacs are marked), we choose the latter, which in my opinion is more suitable for ascent now. Conditions to cirque below Heart and further across all three Kotlje nothing special (some scrub and scree, now snow here and there); if first time on this path, hardest to find cairns and path to forest at end of scree of cirque below Heart, leading across Kotlje. Trail mostly followable, uphill keeps more right and runs left of ridge Na Pečeh (separating Špik gully and Kotlje). At exit from last Kotelj worth climbing right to easily reachable Vrh Peči, nice view from there, below to cirque, opposite Špik, Frdamanove ledges,... and ahead scree and access to summit.
Scree under Poncami partly bare, where still snow due to current high temps sinks well, so yesterday no crampons needed even in uppermost steepest part under saddle.
Path from saddle to summit fully dry, first twenty height meters above saddle requires easy climbing to I grade, then terrain flattens and easier, good visibility no orientation issues, ascent keep right passages (those facing Martuljek side). On indistinct composed summit little space, box with logbook on it.
When we looked south side of saddle to Veliko dnino, path has some snow tongues in places, lower gully part path quite collapsed.
Descended under walls of VMP and Oltajev toward Three Larches and to cirque Za Ak. Extensive screes barely snow-covered, snow surface no longer continuous. Some places last year's cairns peeked out, we set some new ones too. Little snow shows in Kačji jezik and Jugova grapa too. Crossing screes and all three gullies toward Three Larches on descent certainly less annoying than ascent, but now still take it high enough. From cirque Za Ak down to hut at Ingot, checked en route how watery II waterfall is.
Whole tour long and strenuous, for pathless parts pick day with good visibility, ascent good 5 hours, descent 4 hours, on described route in given favorable snow-dry conditions.
