I'm curious if anyone was on Hanzova these days, how's the snow?

Helmet obligatory, because occasionally something can come flying down, especially below. Via ferrata kit at own discretion, been to MM many times via Hanzova, first with SVK, then no more, because at the spot where it might actually be useful, it can't be used. If you hike a lot on such paths and have sure footing and a clear head, then not needed, otherwise recommend.

@ejas1234, I recommend SVK to you just like a helmet. Regarding SVK, it's very slowly understood here that it's not about usability, but responsibility. I also can't agree with @zelodko that use isn't possible where it would be needed (quite the opposite, this path is secured with a cable at all the most dangerous spots). No one will punish you if you go without SVK. Maybe in some other country where they have signs for SVK use

I was on Mojstrovka via climbing path and down via scree.
It was super, I recommend with lots of caution.
Best part descent via scree.

Today via Hanz path, nice panoramic path, but not for vertigo sufferers, return as the previous one wrote via south or scree, ... enjoyment.

On Tuesday with wonderful mountain friend started in Tamar and headed to Mala Mojstrovka (over Grlo, over Sleme and via Hanz path to top). Hanz path is normally passable, no snowfields and super!
From there we descended south side to Vršič. Continued path via Kopiščarjeva to Prisojnikovo okno and via Grebenska back to Vršič. From there to Jalovec and back to Tamar valley over Kotovo sedlo. On way to Jalovec small snowfield, but normally passable.
Day was fantastic and unforgettable!! smile

@Grega92 Yesterday I walked to Vratc and poked my nose a bit under the north side of Mojstrovkas. Snow is around 2000m; the path is surely frozen, wet and slippery in some parts... Attaching a picture.

Hi!
Today we were on M. Mojstrovka specifically from the south side. At the top I talked with (in my feeling) a very experienced hiker who said Hanz path is normally passable and snow doesn't hinder ascent, but didn't recommend descent.
