From Mangartska planina onwards snow, walked on skis, but also some bare spots depending where you go. Otherwise excellent conditions from saddle to summit via "winter route", "Italian path" was also hiked and skied, and yesterday "direct route" too.

No, usually sometime in June they start to open the road.

Not to open a new topic.
Once after 15.6., I get visitors from England, ca 17 people who will travel around Slovenia by minibus. One of the points is also Mangart saddle (cannot walk as too old;-))
Wondering if the minibus goes through the tunnels?

The road is already possibly passable, but down there is that damn sign "prohibited for all vehicles" almost the whole year. It's open practically those two months when they collect toll. Shame.
