A polished couple from abroad parked like this on the otherwise quite crowded M saddle.... INSOLENCE!
what kilograms, the relation to nature counts1

Interesting. You got a like even before the image appeared. Obviously we're very tense again.

@opazovalec, why would the couple be "polished"?
For me it's "one slut".mrk pogled

Well yeah... quite a few of those "polished couples" don't even go to the top, but walk around the saddle in dress shoes.

not too much with that parking.
because we Slovenes are far from following the rules at trailheads.

on the contrary, you often see impossibly parked vehicles, even from our own who are far from seasonal hikers.

Yes, but they paid and have every right to walk around the saddle in dress shoes. Otherwise, "impossible parking" is plenty even in cities. Here at least they don't bother anyone, that "clearing" will soon overgrow anyway. And if we look differently: Are there arranged parking lots at the saddle and along the Mangart road?

As I already said, close those roads to public traffic. That would solve a lot. There wouldn't be reckless drivers so deep in nature and many fewer accidents. Because a large majority of those who try to drive as high as possible to save energy because they are not fit for the mountains they otherwise go to because the roads enable it, would decrease significantly. I dare say there would be quite a few fewer accidents because such people would avoid these paths, and some nature would remain for our descendants. This today, this tourism... has already crapped every other bend

Well yeah, locals know some pretty interesting stuff about toll payments...including that the "legal basis" is very shaky. By the way, does anyone know why they stopped charging in Vrata? Maybe some legal issue?
Regarding the rest I agree, there are quite a few more in the cities...well, ultimately there are a lot more people and vehicles there.

In Vratih apparently they don't collect because the road is state-owned, the parking money was collected by the Municipality. And they couldn't agree or coordinate.

would you then go on foot to Vrata, to Vršič, to planina Blato and finally to Mangart saddle?

Those two aren't a polished couple, nor from abroad. But registration is probably cheaper in BiH than in SLO.

@Branee, would you then also tear down all mountain huts? Whoever doesn't have enough fitness to go up and down in one day should stay in the valley, or only go halfway. What about ropes and pegs? Probably need to tear those out too, whoever can't reach the top without aids shouldn't go? There would be significantly fewer accidents and much less impact on the environment.

The solution is more public transport. If a few vans or minibuses ran up and down at intervals, and traffic banned for other motor vehicles, we wouldn't need more space or additional parking arrangements.

That's right, lynx. Bravo.

Public transport or seasonal lines absolutely...to Mangart saddle, to Blato pasture, to Vršič pass etc.

Business would definitely be profitable in season, so that can't be an excuse not to implement it yet.
Actually, I'm surprised it's not arranged already. Hard to believe lynx is the first to suggest this. nasmeh
