Redbull, you're smart again, and it's harming you. Because of me, you can go on foot from home. But most of all, you forget that you won't always be young and strong like now. Then, a ride to Vršič or Mangart saddle will be very welcome, believe me.
Keep hiking safely in the hills!

I hope that redbull will then arrive at Vršič or Mangart saddle with the seasonal line from Kr. Gora or Trenta etc. nasmehnasmeh

@lynx, that would be a very good solution. And of course at appropriate times (not like the first bus arrives only at 8.00). That way it would also be much easier with circular tours where start and descent are not the same.
But before this actually comes into force, some more time will probably pass...

Vršič is just one of the options.
I think a better variant would be, as lynx already mentioned, a couple of vans or minibuses and that's it, one up one down and so from a certain hour to a certain hour...In that sense somehow.

I'm sure that would be an ideal solution for Planina Blato, but something tells me there's no interest from the municipality and Bohinj bigshots...

It's hard to solve everything administratively...

The previous end of the working week, I arrived at the Mangart saddle for the first time with the intention that I wouldn't distance myself from the car more than 150 m (as much as the photo was distant from the car).

I photographed the Perseids shower - the impression of the saddle in the glow of the moon, stars, planes and Perseids is attached... the link to the 4h timelapse is
here

You'll hardly manage something like that just with bus transport.

Otherwise, I fully agree that bus transport is ideal for loop tours (starting point different from the goal)!

Trobec, do you have a disorder, or can't you follow what's written? Where did you pick up anything about demolishing huts and climbing paths? Anyone who comes to the top on the marked path is already smart on this forum. You people don't know at all what it means to be in the mountains. Go to Triglav the whole weekend, damn it, no point in words, I can stick this smiley velik nasmeh

And this specimen named tulipan, don't let him contact me for those deep conversations of his. Idiot squared.
@julius I was many times in the mountains above vršič pass on foot like many others. On mangart side I haven't been with car at all but I've been to mangart countless times. Vršič is just a pass, so it's a pity we're wasting words..

@Branee, obviously you have much worse disorders in following and understanding... even your own words. Well, enough, for your writing level more suitable were some other forums... say rtvslo, 24kur, novatv and similar.

A bit 'off topic'... on Sunday there were also some 100 'hikers' besides us present, as it seemed to be the cardiac arrest of the unfortunate Slovenian mountaineer...

Janez, thanks for the really beautiful shot of the Perseids! If you had relied on the bus, it would have been harder to catch it.

Well, you can hire transport for a group anywhere... but it's more expensive than the working public transport system.

Like most, I also drove under Mangart. Park at the barrier, then over Rdeča skala to the forgotten path "huda steza". Peace, quiet, nowhere anyone, just stone cracking and chamois herds. From the top, return via Italian directly over scree to hut and back to vehicle.

I read this once and PV June 2013 http://www.planinskivestnik.com/files/File/PV_2013_06.pdf you have description by A. Stritar .. and I think there should be something more on Gore in ljudje, just can't find it.
Anyway I haven't gone there yet. Judging by what was read, you almost need (maybe you need) Trentarski doctorate in steep grass velik nasmeh
