Mushrooms

It's just like if I went to the neighbor to pick apples and pears and to some other neighbor plums, ....

@boby
OWNERSHIP

You are also owner of something, right.

Well, mushroom pickers picked my pears! What should I do? Cut a stick or buy something heavier?

Don't get me wrong. As far as I'm concerned every mushroom picker can walk in my forest of course regarding the mushroom limit.

@boby
that's impudence towards a person that they pick your pear without your permission.

We have some apples, plums, pears but we don't pick them all so if someone came to us and asked IF THEY CAN, I would allow it.

@solido
Of course, you must not prohibit it, but guests can pick only 2 kg of porcini.

Mate07, it seems to me some exaggerate strongly with collecting. I have nothing against how much they collect! Problem arises with reselling or full crates which people then empty into trash in spring. I collect only as much as I need!
I don't have my own forest.

I wanted to say it myself so no one tells me how much I can collect in my gmajna. Who even respects laws here, those tycoons steal like magpies in broad daylight and no one can do anything.

We don't throw anything away even though we pick insane amounts of whatever.

I'll write it again, I would NEVER chase a mushroom picker out of the forest because he picks mushrooms for me.

Only if the inspector fucked my head, for 5 kg of porcini I'd chase him out with a stick.

Some are really obsessed with their own property. Is this a page for whining?

I would still introduce some restrictions. Let's see how it's like on the northern side of Karavanke.
At ours today in the forest such a crowd that we barely met on foot! Didn't pick mushrooms. I walk the forest all year (trekking) but during mushroom growth it's unbearable.
Last year I heard in agricultural show how forest owner from Ilirska Bistrica complained they carry mushrooms and chestnuts from his forest, he loses earnings thereby, pickers laugh in his face because he can't do anything.
This doesn't seem right to me.

@boby you're obviously hinting correctly

Difference between orchard and mycelium in forests is quite huge. One you plant and grow, the other you can't, or wind brings it. For the first you have merits, for the second nothing.

...for the other nothing....what do you think, that the forest cleans and maintains itself etc
like
heinz21. 09. 2009 08:59:09
Mushrooms usually spread much better around fallen trunks, broken branches, stumps etc. Where forest is more cleaned there are fewer.
Expert sources claim so, and in practice it's more than obvious.
Besides uncleared debris they need some moisture for growth (this year abundant snowy winter provided it), for which we can't claim merits either.
Regards, good luck!

Yesterday I wandered the Zasavje hills. I also detoured into the forest somewhere from Tabor to the middle of the path to the Medvednica Ski Center. Unbelievable how many cut boletus. In places it's almost white from scraps. Golobaji still make you drool. In places it all looks like you're looking at stumpies or frosties.

The forest must be tidy and there will be plenty of mushrooms too.
Practice is one thing, theory is another.

Zalas, that's no longer interesting if you find them like that! I won't go look, even though I'm close!!
