Bojan A, congrats! Such a nice blog post I read with pleasure. Today for lunch fried parasols (we picked them yesterday on descent from Bavški Grintovec to Soča where they grow right on pastures at Planina Lemovje).

14 days already chasing this mushroom topic I think it's really enough, and yes in our parts mushrooms of various kinds grow too, but this is how it was today towards Menina(Šavnice).

mushrooms grow higher up, in lowlands almost nothing, here at our end it's like that, I go to hills and still get boletes

Let me join the mushroom guild a bit, Serajkotu and Bojanu! Today I picked quite a few trophy boletes. At noon I drive to in front of Jelendol and around Kal and top of Kobel - pure spruce forest 1203m in just two hours with ascent, I pick full backpack of mushrooms. Had no more space, backpack pulled me back so I go for quick descent. On way back on road some mushroomer with boots full of shopping bags, heading to Tržič, smile to ears! I drive also to Jerala homestead in Podnart, there take two crates excellent apples, pear juice and cider, so today caught two flies with one swat. Lp

Pardon, Jerala farm is in Podbrezje, capital bolete weighed 20g less than half a kg, kitchen scale stopped at 4kg and 700g.

I got 46 boletes again today both young and old.
This year exceptionally good mushroom season, last year practically no mushrooms.
They grow many places, most often got them under thick spruce or young spruces.

This ain't normal anymore. Was on Jelovica by bike, felt like driving through center of Ljubljana. Cars parked everywhere, drivers looking into bushes instead of road while driving. Looks like everyone turned mushroomers this year.

Solido, before snow falls you'll have little peace with mushrooms, at least as far as Mate goes. I have them already in one batch, full freezer and even took to neighbor. If find time and weather warm, I'll go to woods again for them, for hobby.

Only jealous you are, when I mention such numbers and what leave them in forest and whatever, if person enjoys picking mushrooms let him enjoy don't attack him for nothing.

Shame that some whiners who obviously compete in picking or plundering mushrooms with their pathetic posts ruin the forum which otherwise deserves all praise.
