Yeah, mate, some just brag. I just by chance rode by on bike and found those beautiful and super nice chanterelles that I love too. Never pick mushrooms for sale like some do here. I pick 'em for fun 'cos you take a lil walk in the woods and that's the nicest.

No one competes, but anyway we both picked almost the same number of chanterelles almost every day.

No one brags, I just say I picked so many mushrooms... and so what if I sell them if there's interest, otherwise I pick them myself WITH GREAT JOY AND TO WALK IN OUR BEAUTIFUL WOODS.

Although I've decided not to ramble about mushrooms anymore, I can't help myself. These are from Jelovica today. There were people like in good old times at tombolas. Despite all the hustle, no one left with empty basket.

Limits of normal, yeah, tell that to the one who goes picking mushrooms abroad, let him stick to at least those 2 kg, I don't have to (own forest).

There is NO own forest - at least regarding mushrooming, not. Likewise no evidence that excessive mushroom picking threatens their existence, it's caused by other polluters who dump piles of trash in forests ......

Yesterday and today really picked record number of boletus-old and young. 6 full baskets, but they are a bit larger than those with intertwined handles.

There's absolutely nothing wrong if I pick mushrooms in abnormal quantities, it's my wish and I enjoy it.

all of you who pick so many baskets and ,since i see that where you were boletus wont grow anymore, i just wanna say that you need to cut the stem above ground so that the mycelium stays in the ground, if you get it!!!

this is just pure adios. i hoped to get some smart advice where and when to look for mushrooms, but you've posted a bunch of ranting here. you're just like fishermen, hunters and other liars
i like going to the forest for a walk and check a bit for mushrooms. last days i went like 4 times and found nothing at all. probably looking in the wrong spot. then my husband cheered me up when he bought a kilo somewhere in dolenjska by the road
so you, great mushroomers, got any advice for me? dont want exact locations but info on forest type, undergrowth, altitude and other decisive stuff.
