Today 20.1.2016
Steep path from Razdrto up to halfway all ok,
around there where "climbing" starts (1000m sign on rock) path icy in places, when exiting climbing towards ridge crampons needed, path snowy, creaking snow, windy.
At hut around 11am -8 degrees
snowy, on gentle path back to Razdrto half path snowy, frozen and trodden, but crampons needed. Lower down completely dry. So winter Nanos is beautiful, but don't underestimate it.

I'm interested if someone can tell me what the conditions on Nanos are like. Especially interested in the current gentle path from Razdrto :-)

I was there yesterday and walking not pleasant at all. Snow patches in a few places, walked in predecessor's footsteps ... snow wet, mushy and my boots despite impregnation completely "rotten"... Can't use crampons because snow occasional, gaiters would be good...Lower part of path muddy, so no enjoyment in walking mrk pogled

I think the path from the village Strane will be more suitable for current conditions. It's about an hour longer.

Up to 900 m practically no snow. A bit higher it's wet. But all nothing. On the plateau itself about 20 cm..

In the last two weeks not once up in real winter boots but lighter ones... Crampons no use.

Muddy yes, especially lower... How muddy depends on which path up...

In muddy conditions drive further by car to turnaround at the end. Better not stop on road because of wardens. Path up almost no mud and quickly on meadow.

If crowded cars and warden problems park higher on some meadow (just off road). Wardens no authority. I know all meadow owners around path.. none ever made problem.

From Strane village don't know currently... go there little

Today's Nanos. No snow anymore except at hut. Where it is, except wet shoes no big problems. mežikanje

I was today up to the towers via hard path, all dry no snow anywhere, only at top blowing almost carried me away eek

From Razdrto to Vojak Hut there is no snow, on the dry summit approx. 20 cm. On top a little breeze.

21.5.- Nanos - after initial worrying gusts around the ears fearing it might turn into a "real gale" on top, after reassuring advice from a very friendly cyclist (obviously a good expert), I finally mustered the courage for the "steep" ascent; yes really, it wasn't bad on top, nice spot in front of the hut for martinčkanje, quite a few visitors - even two groups of kids, good strengthening tea and return via the longer route to starting point Razdrto; nice this "Primorsky Triglav"; nasmeh

Today I really didn't know how the weather would turn. Whether rain or sun. In the morning fogs dragged over Pleša. Thunder was heard. But we decided for the ascent anyway. Quite a few hikers. Then on descent, when we were at St. Hieronymus church, it started clearing. And it was almost too hot.
