The mentioned snow patch is visible also from Raduha and Olševa. From this I conclude that this part is still not snow-free and ice axe won't be superfluous.

Ice axe is our best friend in mountains, so take it on the tour and of course not just to look at.

Today on Ojstrica from Podvežak, then over Mala Ojstrica, back towards Korošica. Snow on path almost none anymore, maybe towards Korošica in one gully but can bypass it, so no more need ice axe and crampons on this path. lp

Yesterday with friends despite worse weather forecast to Ojstrica, from planina Ravni. Morning cloudy, walked in pleasant cool. At saddle we split and some went to Korošica, we stubborn despite fog to the top. At Mala Ojstrica still some views, on top foggy and 10°C. Descent directly to Korošica, at end just before car also wet!

With my colleague we went via Kopinšek on 30.6., on the path there was already the above-mentioned snowfield, which probably still remains. The snow was soft and footprints made, but quite steep and very unpleasant in case of a slip. I'm attaching a pic that probably tells the most

Today 09.07.2013 my son and I were on Ojstrica via Kopinšek.
Protections were OK, the upper snowfield we "bypassed", as we had no winter gear, didn't want to challenge it either. For crossing the snowfield, an ice axe is still needed at least.
Also this: in the morning at the parking lot by the alpine hut, the little dog Benči joined us (known to us from winter tours), she walked with us all the way to below the wall and what surprised us most, she waited for us when we returned. Incredible, wonderful being. From joy we fed her and gave her water to drink, and gratefully she trotted with us to Klemenča cave.

I am planning an ascent to Ojstrica via the south ridge. Does anyone have a sketch or picture with the approximate route drawn in? I know the difficulty does not exceed II grade.

Jure, if we mean the same route (if I remember right it's "Južni raz Ojstrice") and the entry is a bit off the path when ascending from Korošica to Škarje?? I went through it many years ago and only that passage remained in my memory...
I no longer have a description, but I remember a passage rated (IV+ or IV-) that is quite difficult because you have to downclimb a bit. Then a traverse, and once you get through that there are no more difficulties and it does not exceed II.
Just those few meters are tricky....!!

On the ascent from Korošica (yesterday) you need to cross the snowfield only 2 more times, each time just a few meters.

Heading from Robanov kot towards Krofička and on to Ojstrica. "Path" between Ojstrica and Krofička (over Škrbina) not marked, asking for your experiences?

If you're going to Krofička - Škrbina is the only path I know that I walked last year.
To Krofička from Robanova planšarija (over Črni Hriber) to nice green meadows under the Krofička ridge, then to the far end of Krofička, which borders Škrbina at the start of Kopinškova to Ojstrica. Descend to Škrbina on the "hunter's" then continue on Kopinškova.
Written very simply, but very technical and orientationally tricky. If you have off-trail experience it'll be ok, otherwise hard.
There's another variant via gully to Škrbina (without Krofička), but I haven't done it so I can't comment...

Yesterday via Kopinškova to Ojstrica. On path only one snowfield (a little below summit). Width around 5 to 7 m. No winter gear needed, tracks well trodden. Still careful.

I went from Škrbina on hunter's early morning (before sunrise) then continued whole Krofička ridge.
