Based on your garmont description I think I know exactly where I went wrong. nasmeh I don't know why it pulled me so right, even though the peak was left....maybe it seemed obvious to me and so the unmarked path found me. velik nasmeh

Today I managed to finish the job that I postponed for a few months because of Korene. Last time I walked here at the beginning of March, then the borders closed. Today, heavily loaded, I carried the tools to the "construction site" in one go. Started removing the stump that remained on the trail. Then the chainsaw buzzed for a few hours. Removing logs. Finally several hours digging a new trail for connection to the old path. I noticed that (someone)-a marker decided to do something but wasn't prepared to invest more effort. So in 10 hours I made what I had in mind. Hikers, you'll notice that from this side it's completely cleared. This part of the new trail is well routed. Lp. Janez
Stump that rolled onto the trail during logging, I flipped it off the trail.1
Now it lies somewhat lower.2
 Trail nicely passable.3
 Owner, I think, won't transport wood anymore.4
This one I tackled my own way too.5
 Sometimes something gets stuck.6
Here I carved a step in the stump, trunk removed from path.7
These two also forgotten on the path (no longer).8
I started digging new approach.9
New approach to old ledge.10
Old path was just about a meter lower.11
It was a hot day. No shade.12
The work is slowly finishing.13
New trail.14
And also entry or exit from the train.15
Here is also the marked entry from the train, steep, yesterday in the dry hikers struggled to walk on it.16

What heavy labor you did for the mountaineers! There aren't many such people. Thanks on behalf of all who will walk there. nasmehvelik nasmeh

Bravo Janez! You arranged it very nicely. You can be an example for some mountaineering associations. Good luck!

Some more news from the path from Kumra towards Olševa or vice versa. Also on this trail, after digging along the road, I marked and dug an access trail to the road. I fixed some narrow passages too. So now it's easier to pass even at night. So in two days I marked and dug part of the trail. With the work at this spot I haven't finished yet, since I rolled a large rock onto the trail, but from there I didn't have strength to roll it lower. I'll smash it with a sledgehammer in the future.
Marking of the branch-off1
Digging the trail along the entire length of the branch-off.2
The windthrow uprooted quite a few spruces and tore up the trail.3
I also had to remove some larger rocks from the trail4
 Persistence pays off.5
 Still some non-essential tasks6
I also moved this one, a few meters lower.7
After the work, it looks like this.8
Here too, Nejc and I made an emergency passage last year.9
Widening of the trail10
Nicer to the eye, even easier to walk11
also from the other side12

Janez; the word "thanks" is too little for all your done work. I don't know if there's anyone else who would tackle such heavy work like you. All of us who like to hike to this "our" beautiful mountain are sincerely grateful to you. If only I could meet you somewhere; I'd buy you a drink!!!

Nice and right that one writes about the work of many, due to whom the step is safer and nicer. Thanks!

On Wednesday I did k24, and really, Janez, big respect to you, who care practically for the entire k24 that it's passable. Hats off!

Thanks everyone for the praises, nice to read them and that you like my work. If I manage to do as I imagine and that it's helpful to us in hiking it's already the biggest reward for me. That's why I don't regret the time or money I put into it. I've had in my head for some time (2 decades) "where I often move, I also take care of the environment". I've left many "traces" already in Austria and Slovenia. I'm not a path marker, but I know how to do various things. I hope to do more for the public good. Best. JanezS

Janezs congrats for your heartiness for the work you do for the good of all hikers. I'd ask you if it's possible from Sleme pass to drive another kilometer on the forest road with a van. Lp.

Or maybe you mean the lower-upper Sleme road. That's between Bukovnik and Olševa. Now the road is in bad condition due to timber hauling, sometimes there was a chain across the road, now for some years there isn't. Lp.

Nice. Although to me, say, it's better if paths aren't so very well-groomed. E.g. when there was the ice storm, it was very interesting to climb over fallen trees on the path, and good for fitness too. Then when they cleared it I kinda missed something.

If that's the case, you have to choose primeval forests, but you also have the option to go to Olševa (partly), 10 m below or above the mountain trail, so you'll climb on resinous trunks and enjoy it your own way.

Janezs, it's nice that you're putting effort into maintaining mountain trails. There aren't many like that nowadays.
But you also have to respect different opinions.nasmeh
