Kompas guys at Ljubelj are also quite a phenomenon. They write that parking is 5 EUR/day/hour. Is it per day or per hour?

Today's ascent to Pršivec we also used to check the situation on the road to planina Blato and test the bus line from Srednja vas up. Regarding the bus itself, it is a super idea that was excellently executed today. It was punctual and fast, the driver talkative and friendly. On the first ride at 6:30 am there were very few of us, later it was almost full. I find it silly that the turnoff to Senožeta parking (where the bus starts) is marked only from the lake side, as if they wanted to hide it. I was also surprised that for an annual parking card a Bohinj citizen pays only 10 euros, others 150. Strange that something like that is allowed .

Hello, some questions: Before the season they posted somewhere that this year the van from the parking in Srednja vas to Blato would run every day. So that didn't happen? This transport is already a good idea due to the traffic jams, but senseless if it doesn't run on weekdays. For a one-day trip I'll already pay those 12 euros. But how do I get to the (say) valley on Wednesday after a four-day trip? On foot along the road? Does any bus run from Bohinjska Bistrica to Srednja vas? I can't find it on the schedules. Say I somehow get to Stara Fužina without a car and wait for the van before the barrier. Will it stop and take me to Blato? Thanks in advance.

Today we also tried the new bus line and we are very satisfied, we left the car in Senožeti for the whole day for 4 euros (but beware, the parking meter doesn't give change, have small change). The first mini bus in the morning was full, the afternoon larger bus was also occupied to the last seat, in short, the thing is running and because of that there are dozens fewer cars going up every day! The bus runs on time, the driver handles the narrow road, from Senožeti to the top it takes less than half an hour. The final stop is at the intersection of the road to Vogar and the road to Blato, from where it's a couple of minutes walk along the road to the marked path to Planina pri Jezeru. The bus also stops at the parking lot above Stara Fužina at the barrier. The only strange thing is that it doesn't stop somewhere in Stara Fužina either, since foreigners mostly continue on foot to the lake. Oh, it runs every day, more frequently on Fridays and weekends, during the week there's a different schedule. On weekends there's now also a connection from Boh. Bistrica to Soriško planina several times a day. More you can find yourself at: Park and Ride

The bus doesn't help me much, because as late as 6:30, I only go to the mountains in winter.

I agree. This bus is a great thing, but the time is probably such for many of us that we'll still have to use the car

I don't quite understand. If you're not planning to go to Mišelj vrh, Mišeljski konec, Kanjavec and Triglav in one day, 6:30 is perfectly fine. Days are long and there's no point starting inhumanly early.

Hm, what about afternoon thunderstorms? Heat? If you hit the trail at 5am, by 12pm you can be very far. If you didn't plan to go far, you can soon after be back in the valley or at the starting point. And during the thunderstorm, when the heat eases for a short time, you're already sipping golden yellow liquid, with one or two fingers of foam on top of the mug

Exactly what Turbo mentioned. Also, PZS recommends going to the mountains early I've been caught by hail several times and it's really not pleasant at all. Early hours are not inhuman at all. I get up every day at 4:15 am and do morning exercise first. If I'm going to the mountains, even a bit earlier. But then you have to go to bed earlier in the evening, so you still get enough sleep. It's no different than going e.g. to Greece or further east. There too you have to adjust to an earlier time than ours, and you can survive that.

When the weather is stable, afternoon hikes are pure pleasure. Not everything is about early hours. Of course it depends on where you're from and where you're going. Good luck!

Sorry if I'm asking something everyone already knows, but I'm not sure if I understand correctly: - so you can still drive to Planina Blato with a car and park it somewhere there, of course if there's space? (ok, and alternative is bus) - does someone at the entrance below collect the fee or do I have to stop at some machine myself and get a ticket with time stamp to put on the windshield or who checks how many hours who stayed there?

Below there's a barrier that gives you a ticket (like parking in Tivoli ) and when you return you pay at the parking meter. For every 24h 12€, I think it's that much now

Road toll 12 euros per day.

No, the bus is just an alternative - but then there'll be even more to pay for us If you decide for such a tour starting from Blato, earlier hour and own transport, take into account the toll too, which is here 12 euros. Just don't complain about the toll later! This time I myself drove the road to Blato for the first time ever - tours in this area I've always started in the valley, with public or own transport, never thought of going by car so high precisely because of the toll and crowds... Happy trails to all!

I don't understand people who pay 12e to go through the ramp for visiting Vogar and then park 300m further along the road Blato is full whether toll is 5, 12 or 30e. Bohinj is teeming with tourists and hand on heart the whole thing is becoming quite repulsive, not because of parking fees, tolls but because of the indescribable "crowds" and everything it brings.

I've just come up with an idea, since I've been thinking for a month about going past Planina pri Jezeru over Vogar and it's no problem to walk an extra kilometer. Is it maybe that parking lot in Srednja vas (Senožeče) at pizzeria Ema? Just so I don't hunt for it all over the village in the middle of the night, because I'd like to be at Vogar at dawn. Senožeta parking lot is behind the village, from Stara Fužina direction there's a nicely marked turnoff from the main road, from the other direction I think it's not marked. On the map look for SKI RESORT Senožeta, exactly there it is, in the middle of meadows behind the village. But in the middle of the night no bus runs from there yet...
