Yesterday morning I parked in Kamniška Bistrica. I thought of going there by bike, but the day before while cycling to PST I had a "flat tire". I head to Kamniško sedlo. That one, of course, which we discussed at length in the namesake section from a safety perspective,... From the Kamniška direction I was up there for the second time this time. After the initial steepness, the path eases for a while and rarely steepens again; the most tiring part is, of course, the last section from Pastirci. At the hut, I refresh a bit, then continue towards Planjava. What to say about the path itself? It's not overly demanding (maybe even easier than Brana), but it's exposed in the lower part (especially Wisiakova grapa), and there's lots of scree on the whole path. At Sukalnik (where the path actually turns ), I get a view of Repov kot and the lower part of Zeleniških špic. I continue to the junction and turn left there. Then a bit more walking and some rock holding, and I'm at the upper junction, from there to the summit. Clouds spoiled the view (which, of course per Murphy, cleared when I was already descending). To the north, despite everything, it was visible to the Karavanke from Košuta to Pece. No farther. Of course, everything visible from Kamniške Alpe was visible, but clouds kept racing around. Towards Ljubljana, it was foggy anyway. I descend over Srebrno sedlo; on the way, the upper part of Zeleniških špic reveals itself. In the upper part of the path from Planjava to Korošica, the markings are really faint, but at least in descent, with a bit of sense for orientation, you can find the right path (in ascent, it might be different). From the saddle onwards, markings in descent are solid, but it's quite steep there and full of scree again; there are some scrambles, but they're not too hard. This path seems easier to me than the one from Kamniško sedlo, but the 'normal' one is probably that. At Korošica, they have a friendly hut dog to whom I give one of my biscuits, pet him a bit, and continue towards Presedljaj. From there, I thought of hopping to Konj (and then via Planina Dol to the lower station of the cable car at Velika Planina), but at Prag, I miss the turn for Presedljaj and end up at some plain called Vodotočnik. From there, it only continues to Podvežak... Oops! So I go back, see the sign for Presedljaj, and cross unmarked to join the path from Prag. At Presedljaj, of course, due to the late hour, I drop the idea of ascending to Konj and continue directly down the path. The upper part of the descent is very awkward. Then it eases a bit, but the time is late and it's getting dark. So I miss the markings and end up on an unmarked path. Well, I was already close to Kamniška Bistrica, so almost in the valley; there was practically no steepness anymore. This path leads me to some path that fades, and so I wander a bit in the forest among some fallen trees until I reach a weak cart track, which gets wider and joins a wider cart track. I follow that and, in about half an hour after crossing a stream, reach the main road next to the parking (starting point for Konj). By the path description on this portal, I'd say that in the last part I caught the marked path again, but I don't know because the markings weren't visible due to the dark. From there, it's another 20 min. to the Hut in Kamniška Bistrica, where the keeper serves me a beer despite the late hour.
