Excellent path and route itself.. The ascent through Repov kot isn't even that demanding and you can easily find your way. Once you reach Srebrno sedlo, you're already almost at the top.. It seems that all of us who've been around here lately had bad luck with the weather.. but next time it'll be better.. My pics you can find at M-foto.si

Is the road to Jermanca open or drivable now or do you have to park in Bistrica?

Yesterday we visited Planjava from Planina Podvežak, via Korošica and Srebrno sedlo. The weather was simply ideal, at times even hot. The mentioned path is completely dry and normally passable. The road to Podvežak is also in excellent condition. Pictures from the trip are here.

Last Saturday the weather was ideal for a long tour. I've never been to Planjava on skis before, so I gladly accepted Boštjan's invitation. At 7:45 we start from Planinšek. We trudge through new snow in the forest, but since there are enough of us for the job we keep a good pace. Soon we're at Vodolah, where the snow changes. It alternates between crusts and wind-packed spots all the way to the top of Planjava. On the way from Korošica to the summit we spot two suspicious spots with wind-blown snow that we avoid. Just below the summit there's an icy section that requires crampons. The views all day are fantastic, the sun does its job well and there's no severe cold at all. From the top we ski down a bit differently than we went up. This way we avoid the icy slope. Snow is all kinds, from wind-blown powder to hard crusts and slabs. We're too quick at Petkove njive, dogs are back on skis. Since going back down the path isn't worth it, we follow the proven ascent to Deska. It's unnecessary every time, but worth it as there's much more skiing this way. The summit is wind-packed and we prepare on the grass. The slope from Deska is crusty, but most of us enjoy real enjoyable skiing, two have free tobogganing. When we reach the forest the snow quality improves, we catch some more powder and quickly ski down the road to the car. Summa summarum of the tour by Garmin: 7h 5min, 19.2km and about 1800m elevation. Pictures at: http://gorski.vodnik.alpinizem.net/blog/

What about this month? Is there still any snow from Kamniško sedlo to the top of Planjava? Do you think it's possible on Saturday, 15.06.13 without crampons and ice axe? Best regards!

Does anyone know about those snowfields mentioned by pikpok? Asking for tomorrow (Saturday, 22.06.) - if anyone else is on the forum. I hope they've softened this week...

20.06.2013 There are four snowfields on the path, two are quite steep. We crossed them in the afternoon around three and the snow was only slightly softened; no sinking. We used additional equipment.

Hi, I'm interested if someone can provide info on the path from Kam.saddle to Planjava. Are there still snowfields on the path or is the path normally passable without winter gear. Thanks and LP

Dear, yesterday we were on Planjava from Kamniško sedlo. There are five(5) snowfields on the trail. Three(3) are no problem at all, but two(2) are a bit more dangerous, the one in Wisiakova grapa, and especially in the next grapa, but just a little caution and shortened trekking poles are good. There are footsteps in the snow and the snow is soft. Yesterday lots of people went up and no one carried winter gear. F O T O G R A F I J E lp www.planinarenje.tk

Through Repov kot you have to cross approx 10 m of flat snow at the waterfall, further to Srebrno sedlo and Planjava it's all dry.

Hello, does anyone happen to know how the path from Planjava, past Klemenče jama, to Logarska is? Still any snowfields? Over the weekend we plan to go up from Okrešelj or Kamniško sedlo, down to Logarska, to make a loop tour... Thanks
