Planned removal of Aljaž Tower from Triglav

Up to today we have collected 2000 signatures, twice as many as I sent to Ekar, who is still using the "right to silence". I'm especially glad for some of those signatures I got via email. I'll print the signatures. Tomorrow they will be with me on Triglav, because my meat is no longer rotten. LP, Bojan

They say at PZS that it's disintegrating?

I think I hurried a bit. 2000 signatures are more than they seem. Even with very small font that's more than 70 pages.

I don't know how to do it. And between each signature there are 3 blank lines. I can send them to you, try to shrink them.

Come on, send to staska.morela*gmail.com, replace star with a. Get it back in the evening. Lp, Matevž

Some shots of the Aljaž Tower on top of Triglav, when it was still under the watchful eye of PZS and its president, the shots show constant and tireless care for its appearance and today's appearance when the enthusiasts removed the disgrace.

I was up on Sunday and confirmed I can say the tower is in good condition, nicely maintained and clean surroundings. Thanks to all who take such good care of it. Let it remain in its home environment where it fits best.

On PZS pages there is a notice that the Slovenian Alpine Museum building was on view. The article writer rants that only half of the mountaineering clubs contributed to the museum. Where does he think clubs will get money when PZS takes half of our membership fee? Although it's only 1 euro per member I'd rather give that money for the hut at Dolíc. Lastly this nonsense about moving the Aljaž Tower to that museum.

Aljaž Tower should be a symbol of Slovenes, not an object of disputes that seem endless. Personally I support triglavski, who knows the situation, especially Slovenian mountains better than the entire PZS leadership structure combined.

Here money is probably at play again. Shame for such historical images. If it has been there so many years, let it remain.

The protest against the planned removal of Aljaž Tower on Triglav today, organized by the Friends of Triglav association, fully succeeded. Sincere thanks to all for participation and numerous expressions of support that have come to our private addresses these days, thanks for all calls and SMS. Special thanks to all those who took time to openly support us and honored us with a visit on top of Triglav, and thus spent a nice mountaineering day by our symbol, Aljaž Tower.

Also my support to all who were today on top, and I heartily hope that we will succeed together. Nice mountaineering greeting.

If they move the tower from the top of Triglav then I can say that the word of the people counts for nothing, because so far I haven't met anyone who would agree with moving the tower. Thank God it's so

Friends of Triglav, you also have full support against the removal of Aljaž Tower from a mountaineer from Croatia (and I think I'm not the only one who thinks so).

I apologize because I wasn't there. I was with you in thoughts. Otherwise, total coma from heavy trainings and it didn't seem smart to risk another exhausting ascent to Triglav. I rather rested (read: slept the whole day) and I plan an ascent to Triglav in the next days.

So, from this flour, thank God, no bread! Some of their "kicking against the pricks" hurt so badly that now they cry a story about accusations..(as if no one thought that the museum would live from the tower etc.). What dumb politics! Dear forumers, we can be sure that we contributed to this favorable outcome to some extent also. (with Triglavski at the head) p.s. -read also the article on gore-ljudje titled "Museum wouldn't live from tower". Good luck, heinz!!

Does anyone know when the mandate of PZS leadership expires?
