Yesterday we climbed to Porezen from Davča as a family. Then we drove to the Franja Partisan Hospital, but since our youngest fell asleep we decided to visit it next time.
There's a complete road closure in Davča, so you have to take the other road.
Start of the path1
View towards Soriška planina2
The summit is still far3

Porezen today

Porezen is really a flat summit,
for partisans a mountain of memory.
It always excites us,
rewards with beautiful views.
Several paths lead to it,
demanding a bit of our sweat.
We sweetened ourselves with raspberries,
refreshed well in the hut.
Come to the mountain you too,
to forget your worries.

While skiing around Vogel I got info on hikes around here.. Porezen was mentioned too... since I don't know these areas and I've already
forgotten the names, please plan for circular day tour - start with gondola to Vogel - and then???

Nadka, it'll be tough. Between Vogel and Porezen is Baška grapa. A suitable starting point for Porezen is Petrovo Brdo, Podbrdo, Hudajužna, Davča, Cerkno, Zakojca...

Today we had Zelezarski hike, as we called it years ago, today SIJ hike. Planned to Porezen from Petrovo brdo. Weather served us well, so sweat flowed from every hiker. Short stops at top and hut. Then at mountain hut at Petrovem brdu. Regards.
There were enough of us for three buses1

On Friday we did a tour as part of transferzale from Petrovega Brda to Porezen, continued to Bolnica Franje, nicely renovated, though I liked the old one better. Then to hut at Ermanovec where we slept. Young warden prepared chanterelles with eggs, we picked them along the path. Path itself quite followable, some marks newly marked.

Ciao! If we want to go to Porezen from Zgornja Davča, must we come from Cerkno side due to road closure? And not from Železniki?
Thanks!

Not 100% sure, but as far as I know, road past Zgaga is passable.

The bypass around Zgaga is passable. You can also go from the Cerkno direction.

Yesterday we finally decided to go to Porezen. Of course there were quite a few other suggestions in between, but in the end we, in everyone's opinion, chose the right onenasmeh.
Start at the mountain hut on Petrovo brdo. Some iron horses show that many went up looking for sunshine and nice views. Snow starts quite quickly, but poses no problems with proper gear. At certain spots it doesn't hold the weighteek, so it sinks to knees in places, sometimes more. Snow of course offers winter fun too, plenty this timemežikanje...plus lots of laughter, not to mention good spiritsjezik. After under 3 hours at the hut, where we refuel. Fog follows us all the wayzadrega, but above summit sun already shines. Hoping to catch some and for views to open, we head to top. Photo session follows, spiced by Triglav and Bohinj mountains viewnasmeh. Waiting paid off, joy even bigger. Fog still hangs on, so enjoyed views only briefly...actually few secondseek...Nothing, down to hut. Then descent...on ridgelet, about 15 min from hut "clear patch"nasmeh. No views...for gods...and us persistentnasmeh. We laughed and laughed, didn't want to go down. After about 15 min slow descent. Sometimes still sinkingeek, else nice smooth descent, sometimes on butteek. Just so nice. End with pleasant refreshment from friendly helpful Rudi, always with new infomežikanje.
In short, had great time despite sinking snow, fog, enhanced by sun and superb views.
a little snowy joy ;-)1

Trojica behind us... the peak in the back of course12
This was grinning at us nicely as it opened up like this13
There towards Ratitovec14
Črna Prst... we thought it had some visitor, but we were probably mistaken15
Mmmmm how nice... Triglav with Rjavina16
A bit towards Karavanke17
Last view up there, from where we are returning18
The nicest for the end... my today's companions... we had a great time ;-)19

Porezen today chased with strong wind, invited with nice views though. Decide.... Still plenty snow, summit blown clean, path from Petrov brdo packed but hard. If sun doesn't warm, something hotter at hand.nasmeh
When you climb out of the forest shelter, the views open up, first of course Črna prst and Očak1
In the back Stol, in front Lajnar, Možic, Slatnik... not necessarily in this order2
the goal is already visible, but the wind is sweeping3
Bohinjske gore, in the back perhaps Karnijci4

Today Porezen didn't chase with wind, path from Petrov brdo partially trodden, bit of fresh and drifted snow. Quite visited from Davča and Cerkno sides, plenty of ski tourers.
