This morning I was on Prisank. Up and down via Grebenska. There's still one snow patch on the way, above the window. It wasn't warm at all, wind was blowing and clouds were racing over the top nasmeh

Today ascent from Erjavčeva via Gladki rob and along the Grebenska path, descent via Slovenska. Weather excellent, met two living beings: a chamois and some hen (grayish color). No problems on ascent (snow patch above Prednje okno is no issue), on Slovenska in the gully below quite a lot of snow, which is soft, but I used ice axe anyway for better feel.

The Grebenska path is completely dry, except for a small snow patch above Prednje okno, which poses no danger. As I mentioned, there's still snow in the gully on Slovenska. For safety, ice axe is recommended, and you can also shorten the path down the snow (straight down)

Is it possible to avoid the snowfield on the Slovenian route? Or is it better to descend via Grebenska too?

@citam .... I was on Prisank yesterday and can tell you that you still can't avoid the snowfield on the Southern or Slovenian route. Grebenska up and down won't be a problem if you don't want to carry winter gear with you.

Hi... we plan to start Sunday morning on Kopiščarjeva path to the summit, and down the Grebenska path.

Is there snow, do we need to carry crampons and ice axe?

Yesterday on Prisojnik. Up via Hanzova (as expected crampons mandatory for first snowfield). Also before the hut and before last steep part still some snow patches. They are so short that it's actually not worth putting on crampons, but quite some skill is needed to avoid them. Definitely the route is not recommended for beginners. Descent via the southern. I wanted to write already yesterday that on this route too there is a snowfield that can't be avoided without difficult crawling on the eastern side but I fell asleep, today I open the PC and see that exactly on this route a hiker had an accident mrk pogled

Yesterday on Kopiščarjeva there was no snow at all, in the window the path is a bit soggy and slippery, but it goes without issues. On the southern there are two small snowfields, it went without crampons just with ice axe, in a pinch without it too. Good luck!

Today circular tour to Prisojnik.
Ascent through front window to summit, return through back window to saddle Mlinarica and back to Vršič.
Path everywhere without problems.
Nicest part for me from summit to back window and further to Mlinarica, which is not for the vertiginous. nasmeh

The snowfield can be safely bypassed with a bit of caution and proper gear. On the left side between rock and snow there is still no gap in places, there without crampons it is most annoying. So just into the backpack with them.

Hello.
I'd like to warn that on the Slovenian route the cable is torn on the exposed, precipitous section.
My friend and I assessed that crossing the smooth rock without proper holds wouldn't be safe and we turned back.

For the knowledge of others seeking a safe step.
