On Saturday via Hanzova to the top, then through the last Prisojnik window to Mlinarica and looong return back to Vršič. At a few spots damaged cable and on Hanzova still quite large snowfield.

On Saturday, 11.7., during the descent via Slovenska I didn't notice any torn cables. But I would warn about two things related to Hanzova path. It is known that the snowfield needs to be crossed with winter gear. However, on the advice of someone I met at the start of the path, I tried it somewhat higher, as there were supposedly crevices and holes lower in the snow. Similar to the group of hikers on en-goldye's photo 6. Upon exiting the snowfield, I ended up on steep sand that looked very dangerous at least to me. So I turned back and crossed the snowfield lower, which proved to be a much better option. The second problem occurs in the path section connecting Hanzova to Kopiščarjeva. There is also a larger snowfield right above the path, and small rocks nonstop roll down from it, hitting at about waist height. All of this is even more dangerous because you can't hear the rock due to the snow. It can arrive at incredible speed. Luckily, I got away with just a swelling on my hand. In short, be careful in these beautiful areas.

Thanks for the answers. Continuing on Hanzova is certainly more interesting according to the description than staying on Kopiščarjeva. So far I've always walked the entire Kopiščarjeva.

Judging by the pictures, the snow patches after joining Kopiščarjeva aren't problematic either?

On the 4th picture you can avoid it below, on the 7th picture it's a flat area.

"Problematic" snow is only on Hanzovi. All other routes are passable without problems regarding snow conditions!

But I thought they put up the ropes exaggerating the securing of the path:-) It is true that the cable is torn in three places - but it didn't seem to me to be at problematic spots. Perhaps the torn cable is most annoying when bypassing towards the entrance to the window.

This is actually from last weekend. Prisojnik has probably sunk a meter due to all the crowds
On the Kopiščarjeva route the torn cables have been replaced with ropes, which are already in poor condition in places. Well, on the most critical spots there are still cables. Glad about the fact that hikers take this approach seriously, as most were properly equipped (on descent via the southern route we even met "over-equipped" Czechs - self-belaying). On Vršič it's crowded like at some stadium. And of course tourists outnumber hikers.
