The forecast for Monday in August was rain later in the afternoon, so I left Postarski dom around seven. Since someone here mentioned not seeing the branch to Slovenska pot, I was more careful but still missed it. There you exit the forest and I was admiring Bavski Grintavec and taking pics. Luckily I turned around a lot and spotted red marks on the rock and went back to the fork. First part of ascent clear, then into cloud getting thicker with height. Luckily Slovenska pot well marked, no trouble with direction. At the end fog so thick I reached summit only some 5m below when looking for next mark and saw summit log box. Past eleven already and I was first that day on Prisojnik (me first? Never happened before.) No living soul up and down. Here it says Slovenska pot from Vršič 4 hours, good estimate, I needed only 15 min more. Someone posted sign pic saying 30min from Vršič to cross and then 2 hours, total 2.5 hours. Probably for fast folks and there are many fast in hills. If sign had average time, fools wouldn't go. No one on whole path, only at end group of seven (4 adults 3 kids). From afar wondered how start so late, past 1pm. Then Czechs, only 2 adults properly dressed, others in sneakers, one lady beach dressed. Turned back to check, stopped in fog, cloud too cold for sunning probably. Bad luck is bad luck but fools should pay heavy. Whole Czech knows Slovenia free rescue and exploit it. Despite afternoon rain forecast nice day, afternoon even nicer than morning. Prisojnik summit in cloud all day.

I'd ask if any snow fell on Prisojnik and Razor. We'd go Saturday from Vršič via ridge, then jubilee, overnight Kriški. Descent to Vrata. Thanks for any info in advance! Lp.

As I saw from Peči-Tromeja camera this morning, no new snow. Only small snow patches (sodre) left in gullies. On rocks too saw mostly rained.

Is it possible to get from Vršič to Prisank in one day, then to Razor, to the hut at Kriški podi and back to Vršič? Probably yes, and how long does the route take? Thanks.

Of course it's possible, but it depends on which route you take and how fast you hike; some are shorter, others longer. Anyway, to Razor it still seems sensible to me; I don't know why down to Kriške pode. A bit illogical.

From Kriški podi to Razor and along the ridge to Prisank then to Poštarca at Vršič I needed 7.5 hours! Without major stops and moderate pace.. What you describe, anirene, is possible - but very sporty and no time for enjoying views. Currently I advise against it - the day is already too short.

If you want a circular route, I advise you to start at the 3rd serpentine, then over Kriška stena to Križ, down to Kriške pode then to Razor and Prisojnik. From my experience, hitchhiking from Vršič towards Kranjska Gora is no big problem. It's true there's lots of walking and at this day length for such a tour you'll need quite a sharp pace.

I started at Mihov dom, then through the forest to Koča na gozdu, then Hanzovi to Prisank, from Prisank to Razor, from Razor to Kriške pode then to Križ and from Križ over kriška stena to krnica, and back to Mihov dom. The tour is doable in one day and as much as you'll see... This is a circular variant, but quite demanding. I already wrote about this tour on the forum and they scolded me. Send a PM if interested.

We know nothing about what experience you have, so ... The day is short, the rock at this time already damp, you have to count on semi-winter conditions, it's good to have a reserve. If you "must" go on the tour now, then maybe it's sensible to think of the variant Vršič - Prisojnik - Razor - Kriški podi - Zadnjica - (two cars or hitchhiking to the starting point or ...). Of course it works in reverse too, but it requires a bit more time and offers fewer reserve options. The technically most demanding is the descent from Prisojnik's last window (Jubilejna - very demanding route), unless you avoid it on the south. Anyway, this variant allows you a considerable safety reserve. If necessary, you can skip Razor, sleep in the bivouac at Kriški podi, descent from Kriški podi by mulatjera is relatively safe even in the dark (of course with a light). Something tells me the tour will be postponed to next year ... Good luck, wherever and whenever!

Listen to the advice. Next year, Prisank won't go anywhere.
