Sadly not tomorrow yet, but I'll go for the weekend and I'd be very grateful if you leave a line here about conditions when you return. Starting from Radušnik. Thanks!

BaduBadu, don't know exact conditions on Raduha, cuz at Hut on Loki decided to go to Jelovec. Here on path no specials, snow pretty blown off top had some drifts and slopes. When sun out sinks quite a bit.

Last Sunday we went up from Radušnik. Awesome The road there is lightly snowy, in spots icy but well gritted, no problem. The path is well trodden. It was icy though in the first slope from the hut, which you can bypass where the ski tourers go. Watch the last 5 minutes to the top too. Some wore crampons there, most did not. Since during the week the sun probably melts it every day, the night refreezes only in the shade: crampons/microcrampons. No place to fall far, but you can slide ass-first into a spruce and bash.

Kosmačeve Rastke-Loka-Raduha-Lanež-back via pastures to Loka and Rastk. Some hikers on summit, on Lanež none. Morning a bit icy, poles can help, during the day all south-facing. And windless, day for sunbathing.

Me too yesterday to Raduha from Bukovnik via Durce. Snow hard, therefore crampons needed, though some went up without crampons, but that's in my opinion "walking on the edge". From Durc to top nicely trodden path, crampons not needed. lp

Route description is on this website, conditions briefly described above (on 8.2.11). So from Grohot to Durc crampons and ice axe needed, helmet under the wall not superfluous as rocks fall from above in between. From Durc to top no problem, path well trodden. lp, and safe steps

Raduha yesterday. In the morning a new track made after the last snow, our tracks 4th - which eased the ascent, though we ourselves also broke trail to the path from Radušnik. Weather gorgeous, wind on top, warm stove in hut ... enough for good spirits.

Raduha yesterday, I went from Rogovilc towards Grohot, path not trodden, crossing towards Grohot quite demanding, lots of small avalanches triggered, from Grohot towards Durc snow lots, in places over knee, ahead of me two climbers went who went to the wall, further not trampled towards top, Durc was quite dangerous, lots of cornices had to overcome given that towards end quite steep and lots of snow, possible avalanche trigger, need to be very careful in current conditions (helmet, crampons, ice axe MANDATORY), path from Durc towards top nicely trodden. lp and safe step

turi 1: Conditions after heavy snowfall always demanding and dangerous, grammar disaster, almost incomprehensible!!

macesen1: I won't comment on your comment but obviously not all are as intelligent as you, no hard feelings

Leave grammar; important that the guy said where and where he went, what the conditions were, how he felt, that's what the forum is for... otherwise in winter all mountains over 2000m are demanding and dangerous. safe step

After some 20 years today again on Raduha, wouldn't dramatize much, nothing special. LP!

As mimohar says - everyone experiences mountains their own way... what we are like, what we expect, right? (I visit my Raduha almost every year more in spring.. and there is always something special there... already the path down through Durce, young caretakers at Grohatu, how the via ferrata path...

Comments and posts should be understandable to the widest circle of readers. The level of expressing our experiences on a public forum must be different from talk between friends. Mountaineering is not just steps from the starting point to the goal and back.

Dear macesen first; if you didn't understand turi first, that's not his problem but yours. Others obviously understood. If something weren't clear to me, I would ask politely. This is not a matter of grammar but of culture, etiquette... above all mutual respect. Personally, I think the conditions for the ascent from Grohata to Durce currently are not safe enough for me; but I have become more cautious with years and experience... I wish everyone a nice safe step further and lots of pleasures in the mountains!

I think everyone who wants to and who knows the path through Durce understands my message. I just wanted to write what the current conditions are, but apparently this forum is not for that.
