I also climbed a two-thousander for the first time. For this deed I chose Raduha and I don't regret it, it was crazy. Nice weather, beautiful views and snow.

Well the snow in the picture is just a patch in the shade, otherwise the path is dry.

Last Saturday I was up there, snow starts around 1200m, at the hut about 15 to 20cm snow, further to Raduha about 30cm, so I broke trail to the top because no one before me, Sunday more snow fell, some melted by today. Regards

Raduha quite visited today. Started in Luče, up to summit via Arte, down past hut at Loki. Weather on our side too. Good hiking conditions. Snow from about 1300m asl, thickness up to 50cm at top. Best regards from under beautiful Mozirske mountains, Janez.

Today with my better half we went to Raduha. Started at Bukovnik-Hut Grohat-Durce-Radhuha summit. Snow starts at Grohat, this morning to Durce mostly frozen, from Durce to top less snow mostly windblown. Tour 5 hours moderate walking. Winter gear with us but not needed.

Yesterday on Raduha gorgeous. By 12h already over ten entries in the book. From the top I went to Lanež, then to the saddle between Lanež and Jelovec and right through a nice valley to Loko. Snow wet, from Lanež down frozen due to south exposure. Very hot, except on the top where it was windy. On Lanež met only a hunter in full combat gear-rifle and dog. On Lanež space for a soccer field. Regards

A - Krofička and its ridge

I can't agree with some previous opinions: A - Krofička B - Brana C - Turska gora D - Skuta (if this is Grintovec, where is Skuta hiding then?? The left summit slope does indeed look like the well-known Streha, but Skuta isn't so much lower that the more distant Grintovec would dominate it from this perspective.) E - Kočna F - Mrzla gora G - Velika baba (the ridge from the summit to the left side of the photo (to the north) I know well, as I traversed it in extreme conditions. Velika baba from the top of Matkova kopa - from the top of Matkova kopa the ridge of Velika baba is clearly visible, dropping to the north or the right edge of the photo in the link. So this ridge and summit can't be Matkova kopa . Matkova kopa can only be the far right summit on grinhorn's photo.)

Probably the truth about D is somewhere in between. The left ideal slope is most likely already the summit slope of Grintovec. The "top" of that slope is Skuta. From the top of Grintovec you can't see the top of Raduha (Skuta blocks it), so the same applies when looking from Raduha towards Grintovec . Unfortunately Grinhorn's photo is too poor to distinguish the boundary between Skuta and the more distant roof of Grintovec.
