Hello!

Interested if someone was on Raduha (path from Grohot over Durce), and what conditions for hiking and skiing or snowboarding?

I'd go up from Radušnik tomorrow, 23.1. I'm wondering if it's trodden at all. Hut probably closed, or is it?

If by chance you haven't gone yet, I'll tell you that yesterday quite a few of us cleared the path you mention. Well, maybe you were one of us too. It was great.
Since the hut is closed, we quenched our thirst at Miklavc.

The path from Grohot over Durce is passable. On Saturday the 23rd, my buddy and I went to Raduha this way. The snow is processed, with a powder layer on top, not avalanche-prone. The only problem was being first (except ski tourer tracks) and having to break trail a lot (sometimes sinking to one's manhood nasmeh

). To the top took 4 hours, much more than in summer. From the rescuers' hut directly over the scree under the wall, then to Durce. Below Durce icier snow. Recommend ice axe and crampons there, otherwise no need. Rewarded with extremely beautiful views far around. Weather wonderful, on the top so warm we were almost without jackets. Then on the top we treated ourselves to (made) pizza nasmeh

Hard to say, roughly to 3/4 you can get there, then probably not super plowed. If you have 4x4 you'll get 100%

On Raduha yesterday. By car to farmer Podvejnik a bit above Luče, then on skis to top of Raduha. To Loka no track, then good track under M. Raduha (track from Radušnik), further track completely drifted by wind. Despite nice weather, except gale-force wind crossing between Raduhas, on return met only two hikers. Ski descent from top to Loka difficult due to too little snow, further OK.
For Haložan: Road to Loka from Črna (Strug) always passable in winter to turnoff for Prepadnik farm. Since from there to Loka still very far, almost all choose variant with car to Miklavc or Radušnik.

Thanks, JTrogar, for the info. One of those two hikers you met was me smile

We didn't reach the top, because we assessed the conditions (from there where we met no more tracks and we waded waist-deep in snow among pines), that it was better to turn back. We ran out of time, because we started almost from the Strug valley.

On Tuesday it was still quite passable, we came from Solčava, on Wednesday upon departure it was snowing heavily, so the current state is unknown to me. lp

Road gritted but still quite icy. Parked car at Sp. Možič. New snow at start a couple cm, to top already quite a bit. To Radušnik no track of course. A bit annoying as old snow settling under skis. From Radušnik to Loki good track, also groomed by snowmobiles. Further no track or ski track. On top great view all around. Under M. Raduha put on skins again and to top of Mala. Ski down previously scouted route, so good that skins on again and up once more. Descent to hut Loki really great, to Radušnik solid, to Možič mushy. No one too keen on tracksetting today, track above Loki ends soon.

Nice weather forecast and free day pulled us to Raduha. Start at Radušnik, to hut Loki path well trodden, further to top calvary, without snowshoes or skis almost impossible but stubbornness got us all to top, sinking to waist. Apparently only ones to top without snowshoes or skis. Nice experience for the future, still all happy with tour and energy spent. Hut open, have course participants staying.

Yesterday's sunlit day brought us back to Raduha, this time our dog joined us too. The path led us from Luče, we drove to the end of the asphalt, then on foot. Good hour and a half to the hut. The guy had skis and easily reached the top, I turned around just before the summit (without snowshoes and skis), otherwise I persistently made a new track, but if every step sinks to the waist, you get fed up with it all and turn back... well I said, important is to participate and not to win. Attaching some pics.
P.s. - the guy also said that a bit higher the snow is consolidated, so those who'll be a bit more persistent, lots of enjoyment at the top.
