On Saturday we went to the summit from Prtovča via Razor. At the beginning ice and mud, then somehow you step along the aforementioned bob track  . Namely, it was sinking quite a bit, especially on the way down.
Still it was a nice trip and the hutkeeper recommended another visit when everything is dry and in bloom. Nice day!

Has anyone been to Ratitovec from Soriska Planina these days? What are the conditions? How much snow is left? How is it trodden? Thanks!

Today was mostly sunny and not too windy day on Ratitovec, lots of visitors, as usual on nice weekends. To Ratitovec my husband and I went via Povden ("left path"), we planned to return via Razor, but we changed our mind when we talked to some hikers near Krekova hut who climbed via Razor. They said there's still quite a lot of crusty snow on that path, lower in the forest it's very muddy in places. Some snow patches also on summit and around the hut, but with weather like today it will surely melt in a few days.

On Ratitovec today not too nice weather, despite nice forecast from our meteorologists. Circular path, up via Povden down via Razor. The latter is quite nasty in the lower part, as it's quite slippery from the rain.

Today on Ratitovec it was cold, windy, occasionally foggy, all the time light snow was falling.

Today I was on Ratitovec for a change in the afternoon. I missed the sunset a bit  , but the views were fantastic. Only the too strong wind bothered. The path is completely dry.

Since low clouds worry me a bit, I'd rather go to Ratitovec than Lubnik. If someone was up there today, I'd ask for some info on conditions.

On the Kredarica webcam, today you could nicely see how far the stubborn cloud cover reaches. In the Soriska Planina area only islands of Slatnik, Možic, Lajnar stick out. Ratitovec and a bit of Blegoš. So the limit is around 1500m. Tomorrow I'll go up, hut open, always trodden, and sunny beach awaits too.

Today I was up there. Nice circular tour. Up via Poden, back via Razor. Path almost entirely snow-covered, except towards the summit snow is blown away. Towards Razor there's significantly more snow. Fog or low clouds ended well below Prtovče, so sun was shining on top. Lots of people, hut was packed full. And as usual excellent flancati and tea.

Today we used nice sunny morning for Ratitovec visit. Despite workday there was quite some visitors. From Prtovč village we started via Razor and unlike all others who at Razor turned left direct to hut, we turned right and climbed via Vratca to Gladki vrh. Views wonderful, wind moderate. Descended to Krekova hut and took short break in shelter. Back via Poden and nicely closed today's route.
Individual snow patches start after few minutes from Prtovč, from Razor to Vratca hit drifts and occasionally sank to knees, summit almost snow-free (blown). Return path via Poden upper half quite icy, so much caution needed.

Path via Razor well trodden, 4-point crampons needed to make it, as on some parts trail slippery.

Start: Zg.Danje, sinking into fresh snow up to half a meter in places, in drifts even more. Got a bit beyond the old military bunker then turned back, as dusk was already chasing us. Occasionally the sun peeked through a hole in the fog. Cold and a bit windy.

Interested if anyone went to Ratitovec from Soriska planina or Sorike peči? Probably easier with snowshoes?
