Ratitovec

Today I was up there from the direction of Žiri (more precisely Prtovč). In beautiful weather we hiked almost in a column. The trail is wide. There's about a meter of snow and it's dry due to the cold. No technical winter gear needed. Tons of skiers. At the top it was blowing hard and at -8°C I was quite grateful for good clothes. The view was incredible.

ZKlemen you probably mean Železnikivelik nasmeh. Because Žiri is the neighboring valley.

Today ideal day for mountains, took me to Ratitovec. Snow well settled, somewhat icy in places. Ascent possible without crampons, but at least for descent recommend small crampons, as can slip quickly. Ascent very early morning, later lots of people, almost too many for my taste.

Today, my wife and I visited Ratitovec. Conditions described by BaduBadu are unchanged. It was quite cold, -11 at the top by the hut. The wind gave an even greater feeling of cold. Unpleasant even for us Notranjci, who are used to such low temperatures and cold.

Today we were on Ratitovec. Car we left at Prtovčah. Up we went via Razor. Path is very well trodden. Crampons recommended. There were a lot of people. Weather nice sunny, on top slightly windy. Lp, Franci.

On Friday we set off from Prtovč via Razor to Ratitovec. The path was partially iced, crampons would come in handy for the return. From the hut we continued to the summit and Altemaver. We returned past the hunting hut, which is nicely set up.
It was a nice sunny day nasmeh

On Saturday, 1.1.2011, went to Ratitovec from Sp. Danj. First up to Mišji grund, then across Dajnarska planina to Kačji rob (stamp Circuit Ratitovec), on to Kremant and Altemaver (also stamps), quick to hut. Return via Altemaver to Danje. Weather super, walking also fairly safe without crampons.

Is the path on this other part of the Ratitovec circuit trodden?

Some already went before me, but now it wasn't even important, because the snow held and one could go anywhere.
