Does anyone know more about some landslide on Razor? What's the current condition of the path?

The path is passable, checked yesterday; there was a landslide, but it doesn't affect the path itself much.

The landslide on Razor affected our group so that three turned back, three continued. One decided right away not to cross, two of us tried. The thing probably isn't that hard, but we approached it wrong. Instead of crossing the slope in a level line along the path, we climbed higher into the more exposed cluttered steepness of the landslide. Due to shaky legs we two turned back. No regrets, I've been to Razor before. When those three and many others came from the top, they all said in turn it's not hard and we just climbed wrong. Even 50+ crossed. I strongly advise against crossing the landslide for inexperienced and vertiginous people, helmet is mandatory because rocks fly non-stop, for an experienced mountaineer it's a piece of cake.

Today's tour started just before the bridge to Vršič, calmly towards Krnica, from there climbing path to Križ, from Križ to Pihavec, then past Pogačnikov dom to Stenar and Planja, return straight to Vršič, there went some pathless into the valley, first towards Hanza, then further a bit along streambed, a bit through forest, ... goal to reach valley without touching asphalt. Some pics later.

There was no cajta for Razor. Haha, LG you don't even know what you're looking for in the mountains and you'll never know

zippo and urbancek, please don't underestimate LG, because you're not up to his knees. If you think logically then you know he didn't go from Pogačnik back to Stenar when he was already at Pihavec in between. Of course he went to Razor and then to Vršič. Obviously you have no orientation for that end,

I referred to his contribution, I already know what is logical in that end... Nobody underestimates anyone, in general this is not done in mountains nor elsewhere... Don't worry, I know these peaks well... There are smilies too... How can you know who is up to whose knees? So zasavčan I really don't know where you got the idea for this composition... And as long as you'll ask how Tominškova path to Triglav looks it's clear to all how much you've put in mountains in general and specifically in this end through... just that much...

I don't know what's wrong if I want some information for refreshing memories about the path via Tominškova which I first and last walked 19 years ago. But I was on Triglav already 16 times. I'd like the information because I'll go with kids 12 and 16 years old and I'd like to check if both are capable to walk it. P.S. again your underestimation was noticeable, don't expect that from me, if needed I'll also explain to you how hiking boots are laced without mocking

Here I attach a link to photos: https://picasaweb.google.com/114400986607884783562/KrnicaKrizPihavecRazorPlanjaVrsic for limited circular tour I needed 12 hours of walking and around one hour for photographing, some short rest, drinking, snack... the path is dry, protections somewhere in excellent condition, elsewhere a bit worse, markings like everywhere, more or less faded, helmet obligatory, scree on Razor no problem, it's trodden...

Yeah Matej, you were in such a hurry yesterday that you didn't even have time to talk to us ... Otherwise it's like this---those ibex you pictured triggered a real load of stones... it was kinda scary to hear and see... thank God no accident happened... So I really recommend to all mandatory gear: helmet

@LG: What, so you race more in the mountains or how, based on the previous comment?

@katty, yes, I was alone at the start, still with a walking partner from Krnica to Križ, then alone, those two had their own goals planned, I had to go further because I could still go to Vršič and there on foot to the valley.

Today I was on Razor. A lot (more than 10) people for a weekday. Landslide (probably a bit below the summit, where the path levels out and goes left around the summit and then to the summit ridge) is nothing dangerous, just some markers destroyed or buried, need to orient by cairns below the landslide, soon markers appear. Should mention also that markers from Pogačnikov dom are quite "worn out". Due to large visits they need renewing. Pitons and fixed ropes OK.
