bos: really nice tour and probably quite long. How long did it take you from Razor to Planja?

From the saddle to Planja it takes another good 10 minutes. One part is jump-fingers in hand, because no other way, otherwise nothing too hard. @bos did similar tour as me, just reverse direction. This is a wonderful corner of Slovenia. Recommend.

On Friday I made the ascent to Razor. Start in Vrata, ascent via Sovatna to Stenar. From there descent to Križ. Then ascent to Razor. Since I was so close to Planja, I went to see Utrujeni stolp too. Descent to Pogačnikov dom for much-needed refreshment. Planned to overnight, but hut fully booked. So I hit the road via Bovški Gamsovec and Luknja to the valley. Above the hut I watched a chamois family. Nice tour, not many people on summits. Triglav via Plemenice next goal.

On Friday we did a similar tour with a colleague, probably saw Roman. Besides listed summits we also went to Pihavec. Slept at Pogačnikov dom, winter room. Saturday morning to Bovški Gamsovec, via Luknja, over Plemenice to Triglav. Then return to Vrata via Tominšek path. Nice and quite demanding 2-day tour.

Yesterday on Razor - start from Zadnjica. Quite a long path (almost 2000 m elevation gain) and hot weather, but wind eased the feeling of heat. My highest summit conquered so far nasmeh

Descent back to the hut and via Kriški podi also to Bovški gamsovec. From there continued to the valley via Luknja to Vrata. It was very nice. Path without special features nasmeh

Nice little video, pohodnik. I also had nice weather yesterday. On the summit we Slovenians were in the minority. But I didn't envy the hikers I met a bit after 1 pm in the fierce heat during descent via Sovatna.

On Saturday we went to Razor. Started at 5:30 from Vrata. Via Sovatna we saw quite a few chamois. The facade at Pogačnikov dom is wreckednasmeh looks like there was a wild party.nasmeh A bit below the summit where the path levels off we met an older hiker probably from Austria. When meeting him he slipped on that slope and fell over his back past me onto the lower path where a girl was standing. Luckily she stepped aside so he only hit her in one leg. In the end all ended well. On the summit it was blowing hard. On the way back to the saddle near the cave a rock slide was triggered over the path. It rattled quite nicely. Below Planja saddle a dust tornado formed too. First time I saw something like that, height by my estimate about 10m. Path to the valley passed calmly. Thanks Razor for welcoming us and showing your power. Helmet mandatory. Back to Vrata at 16:00.

Main, you say it was windy on Saturday. During my visit the wind was negligible, but I listened to an interesting phenomenon. During ascent about 10 min. before Planja saddle I heard several times a sound like a rock falling or someone shaking a huge tarp. When I thought about it on Razor summit and looked towards Planja, I attributed this action to the wind playing in the huge Planja caves and hollows. I'm curious if you also heard this phenomenon.

True, we also heard that sound, like a flag flapping in strong wind. During descent from the saddle I looked up to see if someone unfurled a flag. No idea what creates it.

Snow is forecasted for Thursday, and I'm wondering if you think there'll be a lot of snow up to Razor? In other words, will it be safe?
