Congratulations on the nice tour. Could you explain if there's any noticeable detail where you get to the ridge? Thanks and best regards.

mornar@ nothing, when you're on Temen you go towards the top through scree terrain and logically find the best way... nothing difficult

Rjavina, 7/6/2020 (Thanks for the idea Mukica) Start from Krma around 6am. The road to Krma is a bit collapsed, but we made it to the last parking lot. Only two cars ahead (it didn't change later). Nice weather was forecast and when we came out of the forest, the sun greeted us. Quickly to Prgarce, where we started noticing the sky closing in. Well, we'll see, if not, we'll turn back. Up and right towards Rjavina on marked path. At about 1950m, instead of left, we went straight off the marked path through passages between scree and snowfields. Then we turned towards the distinct gully between Rjavinama and soon reached remains of lost B24. On through scree and later snowfield to gain enough height for crossing right. Some care is needed and I advise walking a bit higher from the edge, as something just broke off. Then left and straight to the summit. And just then the sky opened a bit and started offering some select views. Then as we're used to last weekends, somewhat open, somewhat closed. At the top everything is scattered, even the cross lying on the ground. Maybe lightning hit the rock? Pack poles and on towards little Rjavina. Past double window and a bit of scrambling to the exit of climbing path from the col. Snowfield on top but can bypass it - don't know below. Then a bit of scrambling and we're on little Rjavina. On along the ridge and marked path to saddle, then left over some snowfields back to start. Great tour, nice 20km - weather held

Hi, at the end of the week we plan to go from Krma to Rjavina. Up via path over Teme and then descent via Grebenska path. From posts above it seems both paths are dry or single snowfields are bypassable... Anyway, if someone hiked these paths recently, is winter gear still needed by chance? Many thanks for reply in advance. Best, Mirko

How's the climbing path from Kot looking, is there still snow there?

On the climbing path there's a steep snowfield to cross. It's short otherwise, but without crampons and ice axe I didn't dare, turned around and went the ridge way. Safety first. The ridge is dry. On the way to the ridge (from Debeleg kamen onwards) some snowfields, but they are passable. Good luck

On Saturday, 27.6.2020 we did a hike whose idea we got already when we were limited to our municipality area... We thought to go from home to the highest peak of Gorje... and went to Rjavina. Already before departure we learned the highest peak of our municipality is Mali Triglav, but the original idea was much more interesting anyway. Up via Ržki podi on the Ridge path. Back to Krma via Temen. No winter gear needed for any path anymore. Just want to mention that to me the ridge path seems very demanding, and not just demanding. See more in short video at link: Rjavina (2532 m), 27.6.2020 Safe steps in mountains! Mirko

Path in question... not in descriptions and not marked on geopedia map/hiking paths... Is this path marked? What climbing fun compared to climbing to Rjavina?

Shortcut over scree, useful mainly on descent. As I remember, the junction is even marked, later the path is not marked, not super visible either. But terrain is fairly easy to pass, so no special difficulties. Useful path especially for descent from Rjavina to Kot, as to Stanič it's quite a big detour.

Is Rjavina dry from Vrata?

@MPS Mirko, I completely agree, the ridge path to Rjavina should be marked as very demanding due to that vertical climbing.

I agree too. That spot seems harder to me than anything on the climbing path from Pekel.
