Beautiful days, beautiful hikes. Everyone who loves mountains heads to them these days, as the views offer charms you never experience in the valley. And so the decision fell to visit Rodica, which is close to us, and so we drive through Soča valley, continue to Baška grapa and in Koritnica village turn left towards Rut, which lies on the southern slope of Rodica. For those who have never been to Rodica, I recommend seeing the centuries-old linden tree in Rut, next to it the parish church of St. Lambert, standing in the middle of the village. We planned to photograph (the linden) but unfortunately due to a small heartwarming incident we didn't manage on the way back. With quick and effective help, I'll thank here the firefighter from Rut (Milan) and Jože from Podbrd. As said, to here on asphalt road, from Rut about 2 km on gravel path. We didn't drive to the barrier (higher on road about 1.5 km), but continued on foot. The path is nice, well marked. Sun rays accompanied us to the top of Rodica in beautiful fresh morning. The higher we were, the better the views. At the top beautiful, Triglav in the palm, view towards Golica, Črna prst, Porezen, Krn, Matajur. Below us Bohinj lake, Vogel ski slope, Rut, Grant, Kneške ravne, view towards Lom and Kuk pastures. You know not everything can be described, you have to go up and experience. After a few hours of lingering it was time to say goodbye to Rodica, and the choughs that flew over us all the time of our visit. And hop path under feet, back where we came from.
