Since yesterday on Krnčica and in the village of Drežnica
Simple wooden cross on the summit of Krnčica.1
During the stop in the village Drežnica.2
I haven't seen such church dedications yet.3

The church stands on a hillock above the village and looks like a cathedral.5

The peculiarity of this church is the Stations of the Cross on the church windows. These stained glasses were made between the wars in Austria.8
Of course we know that on all churches in larger places in Slovenia there are monuments with lists of fallen soldiers from villages in entire parishes who fought for Austria-Hungary.9

Trip through Drava Valley and Haloze Hills with visit to Dominican nuns' monastery in Studenice with wonderful monastic church, which is still today the parish church of Studenice. As is known, the successor of Austro-Hungarian empress after Maria Theresa abolished monasteries in his empire and many male and female orders never recovered, because monks and nuns had to leave monasteries and mostly left the empire. Many monasteries changed purpose, many were abandoned and the tooth of time took them. Dominicans as female order weakened especially. In Europe only three of their monasteries. In Slovenia none anymore. The monastery in Studenice was totally devastated - equipment destroyed or looted. Monastery now renovating. Currently only exterior renovated. Church in the monastery survived and is unique cultural monument of special importance. Church has eleven altars, gallery with old organs and special prayer room next to gallery with altar for nuns, completely preserved. Next to monastery on left side on hillock notice ruins of castle in Studenice. Monastery farm next to monastery in ruins. For guided tour of monastic complex with visit to wonderful church need to book specially.

From a walk through Predoslje village during retirees' tour to Brdo estate, which belongs to Predoslje village.
At the entrance to the village from the direction of Brda, the largest chapel in Predoslje greets us on the left side.1
The village church is dedicated to the medieval Pope Sixtus. I found out that it is dedicated to Pope Sixtus II. He was Greek by birth. He was proclaimed a martyr.2
This is the fresco of Pope Sixtus on the chapel. There were five popes with this name. Sixtus II was pope for only one year - 257.3

At the main entrance to the village, if we continue on this road, another smaller chapel awaits us on the left side.6

In the middle of this main road at the intersection, an old plague monument awaits us in the center, which was thoroughly renovated about a year ago.10
The painting has also been restored.11
On all four sides of this monument there are paintings.12

Pope Sixtus was also the protector of the village.14
In the village we will encounter several crosses - precisely six. One is missing from these four public crosses.15
We encounter this one already at the intersection of three villages before the bridge over the Kokra River.16
This one however is at the mighty linden from the direction of Suha village.17
It actually stands before the sign indicating the village of Predoslje.18
In the village near the Šmajd farm there are two private crosses. This is one of them.19
This is the village church in Predoslje dedicated to Pope Sixtus. It is not exactly known how it came to this dedication.20
