. Anyway, I feel safest in tennis shoes on such terrain. Who said they have to be proper mountaineers, and let flip-flops be on Mangart if they feel better that way, although it's a bit funny. Lijaneja, I don't please girls but those two guys. I like that they don't delete comments like we know who. good luck to you too

ŠpRo29 - then he completely dusted you when he flew past... primoza - on Triglav he had no bad luck, just his own stupidity. Which he still has plenty of. fehtar - that's low... ouch....

No doubt he's a real chamois - congrats on the tour; But question is how sensible it is - pleasure, risk of dehydration, cramps, heat collapse, dizziness, etc. For us ordinary hikers it's a two-day tour, and even for that you need good fitness.

You're funny, if you need laughter go to hribi.net, lizika and pikica , but everyone enjoys the mountains in their own way. I saw just now under Brana how a runner ran to Brana and back down, he just whizzed past the hut and into the valley, I sat and enjoyed, later slept on the grass like some other hiker. We both had dreams and when you sleep, you wake for a moment and see that the dreams are real, when you see the mountains in front of you.

not at all, we're both the slower type because of me, but it didn't seem to me he was going much faster. Well, even the mother-in-law overtook us, she's good

If he's a chamois with camel abilities or others deliver drinks to him then he doesn't need a backpack. He can feht up alone, his fehtar colleagues at the top .

ms primoz, then I conclude that according to you every, but really every accident is stupidity. What happened to him can happen to anyone. And why is it stupidity according to you if someone hikes in the mountains a bit differently than your belief how to hike? Given that after that on Triglav he still hikes, ok runs, in the mountains I can only congratulate him. Better than those who due to accident and subsequent fear quit everything. If he stops due to health reasons (injuries) that's different. You've stuck on that water bottle he hauled up, it's already quite ouch As I already wrote everyone hikes in mountains and enjoys in their own way.

It's written like that, and it's also nicely visible from past posts in many topics, that you have a very narrow view on the way of visiting mountains. Best regards and good luck, whatever and wherever

GregorC - some crap. It's written though Narrow narrow, if you say so, then it's true. To go on a day like that one was (when he had the accident), the only one that day... yeah then I really have a narrow view on the mountains. applause

From the latest review of the rescue operations (PV 7/8 2015), it is evident that the most common causes of accidents are slipping, lack of terrain knowledge, and physical unpreparedness. The second and third causes were certainly not present in Dejan's case, but the first one concerns all of us who move up there. So, such offhand talk about "stupid slip" is not very appropriate. Maybe the "slower" ones slip more often. And less physically prepared? That's not listed under the causes of slipping!? This review also says that low boots serve their purpose well if worn by feet accustomed to walking since early youth and with strong musculature. However, they are definitely not suitable for crossing snowfields, just like mountain boots aren't if crampons aren't attached to them and an ice axe is not in hand.

Crazy people have luck and the pitcher goes for water until it breaks Now decide if both apply to the red cattle or just one or something completely third ... what the weather and conditions were like that day some of us haven't forgotten, right

Julius Kugy wrote about our Tanarvis thus: Up there you don't gather playfulness, but concentration and strong mountain piety. When we enter their halls, let us be modest guests in the house of the mighty.
