Steep trail icy, crampons welcome. On the flat some snow, slippery in spots, gear unnecessary. Gorgeous weather, divine views, just right crowd  , to the princess's delight also lots of dog company. Wonderful!

I didn't notice them under Slavnik, but under the Karst edge they already are.

This picture is not from Slavnik, but from Slovenian Istria. They were the only two flowers I encountered in several hours. The altitude is well below Slavnik's height.

We're planning a trip towards the coast - is anything still/already blooming on Slavnik? This year the weather isn't very favorable to little flowers.

Hi hikers, today we were on Slavnik, peonies and narcissi are in full bloom. Whoever wants to admire them should hurry because they won't bloom much longer.

Weekend on Slavnik. Start from Podgorje. Steep up, gentle down. Parking at the playground is currently free. Trail without features, few hikers...maybe because the weather was very changeable, although in the end not a drop of rain.
On the flat summit "plantings" of flowers in full bloom. Real balm for the eyes.

Saturday, 31.7.2021, hut on Slavnik unfortunately closed, reason unknown; in short PD that takes care of this hut and obviously doesn't replace the irresponsible tenant - FAIL, INSUFFICIENT. :-(
Everything else (weather, path, impressions, ... ); couldn't be nicer. :-)
Up the steep path from Podgorje to the summit, down via a fairly long but very pleasant path to Hrpelje (highly recommend this path), and through the village to the train station.

Wasn't there any notice about the closure?
And even if the hut is suddenly closed for e.g. 1 day...probably that's not a justified reason to cancel the contract with the tenant.
