As promised, report from Slemenova Špica
Up through Grlo. A bit above Grlo first small snow patches, later a bit more snow, but no problems or need for winter gear. Well, when the path joins the one from Vršič the snow is more polished and slippery, so some caution is needed, but nothing special. Snow under the summit up to 5cm (well, yesterday it was like that, today warmer and maybe more melted), from the lakes up dry again.
At the top no full "romance". Sun and clouds alternating, occasionally windy, and Jalovec hiding behind clouds.
Descent through Črne Vode snow no issues, but lower down (by stream) a few meters of path washed away, so walking over unconsolidated (probably often wet) scree or II climbing - just 2m height, so jump possible (not recommended). Rocks below wet too. Well, quite annoying descent path, I wouldn't call it "easy". Sure walked harder, but goal then harder too (on paper).
Only in Tamar did Jalovec finally open up for photos. Also interesting phenomenon of Jalovec shadow on clouds.
Dinner in hut excellent. Huge ričet portion, not just small meat bit but whole sausage (or precisely half a pair). Girl barely ate ričet, but pancakes tempting, so dessert too.
Slept alone in hut. Plan wake at 6.30, off to Ciprnik after 7...but dark and cold outside...delayed by an hour. Well, these 2 days more "enjoyment" tours, not strenuous.
Hut opens at 8, arranged with keeper to leave tea in thermos. The almost full thermos had more than 2 teas, so left a tip (for those who don't get it).
To wake and warm fully: ascent to Nadiža source. Not planned, accidental, but worth seeing. Then descent to Planica, story continues under Ciprnik.
