I usually go up the direct one (so along Kačji graben), down via Lipnica nasmeh

Drago, descending via Kačji graben was a horrible experience for me, but others don't have to agree with me... mežikanje

Yeah, then you didn't find troughs with water in between where you could soak yourself and enjoy.
I did that years ago after one climb on Špik. nasmeh

, I told you it's each individual's thing. The best you can do is hike both directions, third time you'll know exactly where up and where down. velik nasmeh

14.7. to Špik past Koča v Krnici, descended through Kačji graben. No snow patches on the path.

On Sunday 9.8. my partner and I parked at the bridge over Pišnica and walked along the bike path to the hut in Krnica. From there left towards Špik. Since we started quite late we met quite a few returnees already heading back to the valley. Also just below the summit we met quite a few hikers. On the summit alone, mist had already begun to envelop Škrlatica. After short enjoyment we headed back. Behind us probably no one else on the summit that day. Returned via scree and over Kačji greben. Already when the path flattens we refreshed under small waterfall and drank water.
Path past hut in Krnica nicer for me personally, but path over Kačji greben has its charms. As for each.
Visit of this mountain not quite short. Especially in sunny weather for this tour recommend sufficient drinks.
Well anyway before six at Jasna enjoyed the cold one. nasmeh

Yesterday we hiked the circular route to Spik. Approach via what I consider the easier path past the hut in Krnica, descent via Kačji graben. In the lower part of Kačji graben (forest) the path is slippery, so you really have to watch your step. Weather was nice, views even nicer.
Before the end of the hike we also visited Bedančeva hut. We got lucky and saw him on break velik nasmeh

Just on the last day of our short vacation in Kranjska Gora the weather forecast was the best. Still almost dark we started at the Russian cross and quickly stopped in Krnica before continuing to Spik. Very nice but long path led us higher and higher. We saw lots of alpine newts, sheep, chamois and the younger family members of marmots. On the ridge below Lipnica we met the first hikers already descending. Weather just cleared up and so we summited the really panoramic Spik peak in the sun. We descended through Kačji graben; those 400m on scree were quick behind us. Then followed a tough steep and damp descent through the forest. This path won't see me for a while. nasmeh

At the end we refreshed in Pišnica and back to the car by road.
