Panda, I'll answer you, since I did the path yesterday. I hike moderately. From parking started at six. At eight forty already on top. Then half hour rest. At 12:10 back at car.

Jannika, long ago I was in love with a girl named Janika. I never told her. Shame! She found another. Now to our path. From Kranj drive to Bašelj. Shouldn't be a problem for you. When you reach the village right at the start turn left into the bend uphill through the village. Somewhere you think you're driving through the courtyard. Keep on the road, feels like end of village but not yet. Road goes through forest uphill to end of village with some more houses. At start of houses turn left to quarry. Asphalt ends here. Macadam starts. After short nasty climb first parking. Can start here and go on macadam to end of road to signs for Košuta hospital, Kališče and on to Storžič. Can drive car to signs if you don't pity it. On foot 20 mins. Nice path, great views left to Storžič. To summit 3-4 hours. Enjoy!

Here, finally went to Storžič. Started from Celje at 4am, arrived at Bašelj start just at dawn, then full gas. Nice steep path, reach Kališče, cooks preparing for ričet (big thing being prepared), lucky me, today Kališče lovers meeting, go on to top, thought first but third, no biggie. Back to Kališče, party started. Food aplenty, prosciutto, ričet, desserts... all there. Hats off to organizers, organization perfect. All dressed uniformly, smiling, friendly...

Jannika, internet names really reveal nothing, just mislead. Almost mistook you. Never mind, see you had a nice time. Wish more nice tours to our area! Challenges won't run out!

Hehe, my nickname up here is derived from my two kids' names (Jan and Nika). Otherwise I'm Robert. Always like coming back to your parts, think next Grintavec (when snow gone). Can give hint where else to go. Prefer tours up to 3h. Yesterday Bašelj to summit 2:10:00. lp

Was up on Storžič yesterday! A little rain hit us then hail! Went from Bašelj to hut at Kališče and Storžič!! Did it in 4h55min up and back!! Path to summit dry all the way! Otherwise really nice tour velik nasmeh

Today, my colleague and I went to Storžič. Starting point this time: Mače. We continued the path past Kališče to the summit. Nice weather, just a bit less wind would have been nice. So there were quite a few acrobatics with the paraglider at takeoff. zadrega

Forgot to mention, such well-kept paths as the one to Kališče I have never seen before. Step is half easier! nasmeh

Yesterday's morning ascent was really fairytale-like. Start from Laški, then a bit below Kališče right on hunter's direct to Bašelj pass, eastern ridge to summit, then just "smuk" to St. Lovrenc and final sharp left back to car. No snow on trail anymore, lots of flowers and morning symphony of owls, cuckoos, wild rooster, and no flies either. Warmly recommend early start for more peace. I was at car at 8:30.
