Quick decision. This afternoon through Žrelo to Storžič. Weather slightly threatening, so quick pace to the top. Fixed ropes in good condition. Views very varied. At the top at three, clouds gathering and first raindrops. No time for a snack, just over Škarja ridge to the valley. Round trip in three hours. Satisfied at home despite not great weather.

This time to Storžič a bit differently. In a beautiful Sunday morning I went to the hut at Kališče then traversed the south slope of Storžič to Velika Poljana and then over "Psica" to the summit. On the return I also jumped to Bašeljski vrh and descended to Mače. A bit windy, Storžič got its cap around 10 o'clock. Hikers conquered the summit from all possible paths.

Storžič this time from the Tržič side. Parked at the hut under Storžič and dashed up through Žrelo. Weather wasn't great but it held. The path is quite steep but interesting - especially the views. North wind blowing throughout, but it gained strength only on the ridge. To the summit over the shoulder shat on by sheep , then down Škarjev rob. Nice loop tour, but unfortunately I didn't see the junction to the bivouac??

For those who find the scree over Škarjev rob too much, I suggest return over the Psica ridge. If you come through Žrelo, from the summit back to the junction on the ridge where you peeked out and go straight. The path is marked, scenic and airy, a bit of scrambling on ridgelets up, down and around. If you have done Žrelo, this won't be a problem. But it does add some elevation meters, so not the best for those who had enough at the top. Recommended.

Today after a long time back on Storžič. This time we chose Dom pod Storžičem as starting point. Continued on the path through Žrelo to the top. Slipperiness in Žrelo quite significant, caution needed. Quite a few of us on top, but we didn't linger much there due to wind. With wife descended through Škarjev rob, where rain caught us, accompanying us to the trailhead. This path also great, of course even better if dry. Recommended. Lp J&S

Storžič yesterday for all current and past hikers. Nice and fun. Choir also sang several mountaineering songs and anthem.

February winter one, three weeks ago summer one also from Mač, yesterday yet another wonderful circular. The friend is to 'blame' who threw me the bone, I didn't need to say it twice... I was already looking forward to it.
From Mač we started just before six. Uffff, not only the days, the mornings are warm too, if the step is fast they become too hot too quickly. At 8.30 we stood on the top for the first time. Descent over Škarjev Rob to Dom pod Storžičem, back through Žrelo. After good 6 and a half hours we stood on the top for the second time . It was so very hot  that I thought if one really needs to get used to hell, but the feelings were divine anyway. And the beer at Kališče well deserved .
There were not many visitors, maybe we met 10 on the whole path who were sweating according to the temperature. Almost 6l of liquid went down my throat, and more would have, otherwise the whole path except the heat had no special features. The one a week ago to Kokrško Kočno and over Jezerska to Grintovec was nice, this one to Storžič unrepeatable, though... maybe sometime again  .
Ps. I have to admit that the photos this time are nothing special, so I won't spoil the average here (they remain only as evidence).

Yesterday to the top from the village Laško via Kališče. Path to the hut in the shade then hot, hot. So the beer at Kališče on the return was even better, plus excellent cottage cheese strudels.
