Today's start at 7:30 at the upper parking lot at Mače and at 10:00 on the top, which had lots of visitors. JZ wind from Bašeljski pass onwards, at height ca. 1950 m clouds gathered and then kept the top in fog for about two hours. Path bp, I made a big mistake not wearing a helmet. Back leisurely sporting to B. pass and also jumped to Bašeljski vrh, down then slowly-fast at 12:30.
While such a heated discussion about dogs is going on - one companion turned back with his dog because the dog couldn't manage the first steeper passage, higher up I met another companion returning, next to him trotting a pup of the same size. So conditions are also for little dogs  .

Wearing a rain cape from home (rain). Below Kališče the weather improved. Surprisingly, I made it to the top of Stožec without precipitation. On the ridge strong and cold wind. Hardly had I turned around on the summit when it poured. It washed me almost to Bašeljski pass. Although it wasn't snowing on top, here and there a snowflake appeared. Refreshing Sunday.

Does anyone know if the snow conditions over Škarjev rob have changed since 2.5. (report from Fleksarca). On Saturday planning up via Žrelo and down via Škarjev rob, if it's already dry. Thanks. LP.

There's probably a bit less snow, but it won't disappear soon, as there was quite a lot seen from the top on Wednesday.

No problem for up (Žrelo), but for down (Škarjev rob) it might be a bit problematic.

Even if a week has passed, there's still a lot of snow in Škarjev rob. One or two meters of snow don't disappear in a few days at this time of year, especially with bad weather in between.

The path over Škarjev rob is not dry. Today I was on Storžič and the view from the top to the north side shows similar or the same conditions as in Fleksarca's second photo from 2.5.2012. His footprints are still visible too.

Saturday morning weather will be worth it, only afternoon will worsen,, otherwise not much snow will fall, Saturday rain, only Sunday morning will snow, and even that imo 5 cm, which will melt in few days

On Saturday through completely dry Žrelo up to the summit, back over Škarjev rob: in this part still some snow, recommend caution... kinda missed the ice axe! Turca da se šika! Go yourselves!!
