In such wind as yesterday it's irresponsible in my opinion to go to high mountains. Already from five in the morning they said on radio gusts on Kredarica up to 116 km/h, Krvavec up to 102. So? Road to hut under Storžič also pure ice, checked with own eyes.

Well for you I could say you're irresponsible hiker!!! And if by you this wind is what you say, I strongly doubt you're some experienced mountaineer!!! Well, just my opinion!!!!

On Friday I was at Kamniško sedlo behind hut (at flag), when I wanted to take a photo I got two very strong wind gusts and if I hadn't grabbed frame, question what would happen!!! So if forecast strong wind, don't know why push and tempt fate in mountains, no pleasure here!!! I'm avid cyclist and if forecast strong gusts, won't go biking!!!

Does anyone have info if the path from Kališče to Storžič is already trodden? Last weekend on Bašeljski vrh there was no track even to the saddle. Even to Bašeljski vrh I was among the first. lp

From which side should one go to Storžič now? Is anything trodden yet? Though tomorrow a new snowfall is forecast..

I strongly advise against the route to Storžič or any other 2000er!!! Too big risk of slips and avalanches!!!  Good luck!!!

I think if you start from the hut under Storžič (though I doubt the road to it is passable), and go through Skarjev Rob, you won't have big problems. I advise against the path through Zrelo. I don't know paths from other starts. Anyway, especially for the last part I recommend winter gear. Safe steps!

The road is not passable because they're sledding on it, the path I doubt is without issues. The last part definitely not.

No, the road of course is not passable now. And avalanche on Begunjščica on Saturday when the Kranj guy died ... yeah, if it's smart to go to Storžič these days, I don't know ...
