As far as I know this Franci (supposedly from Lesce) was the caretaker of Kranjska koča on Ledine for the last two summers, where he created a wonderful atmosphere (service, information, music program)

On Friday on Storžič it was very nice, some wind, little snow, but crampons were useful

We also stopped at the hut on Ledine this year, really super guy - caretaker, and also the girl who helped him. It was nice to chat with both and shame there wasn't more time.

Hmmm, probably too spicy.
Otherwise I'd praise the caretaker on the other side, Dom pod Storžičem. Friendly, good food and drink and not expensive either.
Emmm, what is that hanging on the cross? Are those prayer flags?

Today on the summit, the path today still without peculiarities, start from Mač to Dom na Kališču and onwards to the Storžič summit. The sun had risen quite high, first I went to check Bašeljski vrh, where the sun shone only at the top and fogs were rolling, but the Storžič summit was bathed in sun, so full steam ahead to the Storžič summit, it was worth it. On the path it was very warm, also without any noteworthy wind. It was then quite hard to go back into the fog.

The path is practically dry, at least until today, tomorrow it'll be different. Most caution needed from the saddle through bushes, higher up the path is almost dry.

Yesterday I was on Srednji vrh and from it I saw no traces of path to Storžič. To Mali Grintavec and Bašeljski vrh I didn't go because it sank too much. Today Storžič from west too - from Tolsti vrh looked untouched.

Me too planning Storžič visit for Saturday. Saturday I was at Kališče at PD Kranj lecture and met mountaineer returning from Storžič. Path was trodden Saturday afternoon, how much snow fell Sunday is question. Data 10 to 30cm. Think it settles quick. Hope it freezes a bit till Saturday.

Yesterday 12.1.14 first ascent after New Year to Storžič. Path start from sports park Belica then over Kališče and Bašeljski preval and up the ridge to top. Path up ridge rutted at places a bit slippery so crampons and ice axe good for own safety. Otherwise day great for mountains and views on surrounding peaks. Many hikers to Dom na Kališču. To summit few hikers decide cuz without full gear and for own safety

Bravo, just to correct you. On 15th pic not Kališki gerben but Kalški greben . Was up yesterday
