mate07, definitely as serajko suggested to you, the easiest is from Dom pod Storžičem via planina Javornik; I'm not some great hill-climber, but it went without problems; really only 1000 m height difference, and nothing dangerous (no cables and pegs); from hut to a bit above planina Javornik moderate walking, from there really steeper but manageable because not very long; great when the cross appears on top, you won't believe yourself you're already really at the top of this prominent mountain velik nasmeh

I think there are already "winter" conditions on Storžič, so let it wait for next year. Now nicely through mid-mountains for building fitness...choice is big.

Today I was up there and there was a strong north wind on exposed places, which calmed down in the afternoon. There are already small snow patches (ice) so it's slippery and dangerous for slipping. Some before me didn't have trouble with it, which shows that with proper fitness, gear, will you can get to the top without issues, for now!
Temperatures below zero, otherwise nice day with great view. And I'd add some pics...

Today from Kranj it wasn't visible. A few days ago it was clear.

Today I was on Storžič direction Dom pod Storžičem-Storžič-Psica. No snow, but conditions almost summery. Just a bit windy.

Me too, I headed to Storžič today. Started in the morning from Bašelj straight up the direct unmarked path to the top, where the warm sun with some wind and solitude awaited me. Returned via Kališče back to Bašelj. Definitely a nice day for a mountain visit. Lp

On Friday I was on Storžič and despite an unfriendly, cold and foggy day I met a couple of "hardcores", such weather doesn't bother them mežikanje

. Went up from Bašelj past the hut at Kališče to the top. No visibility and a cold wind was blowing. Back along the ridge on the unmarked path over Široka dolina, so I came out at Laško-Gamsov raj?! Thanks for the ride to the car nasmeh

Today I went to Storžič from Povlje village to Velika Poljana, then over Psica to the top. Path is dry. Only near the top a couple of sections with some frozen snow, no problem. Returned down the gully to Javornik meadow. That path is very slippery and dangerous for slipping. Upper part still some snow melting, water running on path. Careful.

As I saw, crampons and ice axe would come in handy for the upper part, because the snow is frozen but there's not much of it.

I was up there last Friday via Kališče, it went easily without crampons with good boots, only on the shady side at some spots and right at the top a little snow..
Through the gorge there might be a bit more because it's shadier.
