Maybe yes, because the couloirs are worse. Last year 3x in winter, 2x in summer we'll see, but maybe some couloir anyway, because as I saw there are quite a few fixed ropes out on the path to Triglav.

Is anyone going this Saturday, 26th January to Kredarica? I'm wondering if less dangerous avalanche conditions can be expected due to low temperatures? Start from Krma. For now just gathering information. Thanks.

Last time at exactly level 3 it buried the hut, the dog survived, she didn't. On the same day someone wrote here that it partially buried him too and scared him good. To Kredarica in unfavorable snow conditions can be very dangerous and wait until the snow transforms. On meteo there is a report on snow conditions 2x weekly. I'm already bursting too, winter gear is there, I know the summer terrain in our mountains, but if I went somewhere above two jurja it could automatically mean I'm committing suicide. New snow on Kredarica is over 1 meter.

Avalanche conditions at -10°C don't reduce even a bit with the current third level of avalanche danger in the high mountains. In addition, tomorrow it will snow with wind. Lower, less exposed, equally interesting mountains are still abundant here, of course with knowledge of terrains, proper ascent assessment and knowledge of avalanche paths.

I kind of thought it won't be up there for a while. I know the path in summer conditions, winter ones are completely something else!! Any suggestion for easier, especially less dangerous tour? Thanks everyone for the information.

If someone is going now from Tuesday to Friday towards Kredarica let me know. Regarding driving, I'm interested,,up to where can one drive (I think not to parking lot).

Kredarica off, because too much sinking,,those who go with skis no problem, you can arrive and also much faster you are with them.
