Road is clear to Kovinarska hut. Further impossible because not even plowed.
We turned back at Pastirska hut on Saturday. Below snow so-so... higher more water. Gaiters on skis soaked us in one hour.
At Pastirska hut we met an Italian who said more water higher....
Descent on skis, or can't call it skiing...
Advise against hike, really mushy...

urarr thanks for info. As Igor says, tomorrow already different, by second weekend when we can visit Kredarica, conditions totally different (melting up there since February ). Hope weather ok.

Today Trenta - Čez Skok - part of old Kugy path - Bovška škrbina - Triglav. Excellent conditions, hard, crampons grip super, no sinking. Descent Triglav - Dolič - Kanjavec - Prehodavci - Trenta.

Wednesday and Thursday turned out to be ideal days for visiting our highest peak. Boštjan and I had been thinking about Triglav all winter and finally chose this week.
On Wednesday we drove one car to Vrata, the other to Krma and skied up to Kredarica. From Kredarica we set off towards the summit at 12pm, which is relatively late. No crust, conditions better than expected. All the way to the summit snow sank only to the ankle and the ledges under Mali Triglav weren't wet at all. The ridge to the summit is currently quite sharp and the tour is really proper winter.
At 4pm we were back at Kredarica from where we watched two skiers who skied down through Milerjev kamin. Conditions there are just barely satisfactory.

"legionar", don't look for a hiking partner for very demanding tours via the forum.
You'll rely on each other, problems can arise, what then? Will a third person have to help?
